I do think it's odd that they went away from metal for the intake manifold on the Gen 5. I've seen a video where a heavily modified Gen 5 literally blew a hole in his manifold from using NOS. I highly doubt that would have happened with the Gen 4 intake.
This post is directed towards Viper Specialty, as I know his company does this conversion, but anyone else can chime in also if they have info. What exactly is involved in putting Gen 4 heads on a Gen 3? I know they won't just bolt on, and have different exhaust ports. Is it worth it to do this...
I'm wanting to change the stock wheels on my Gen 3. I really like a lot of the wheels from the Gen 4 and 5, so if anyone has any of their stock wheels for sale, I'm very interested!
I assume this isn't a normal thing, but it's definitely odd. The exhaust on the drivers side has a nice lopey-cam sound to it, but the passenger side is much faster and more even sounding, almost as if that bank of cylinders is firing more quickly. When I turn on the AC, both sides sound the...
I recently bought a new-in-box cruise control system from a fellow forum member, but there are no installation instructions with it, and the previous owner never had them. Does anyone who has installed the unit have the instructions? Thanks in advance for anyone that can help!
I recently did a full fluid change and exhaust install also. The previous owner installed a ridiculous frankenstein jiffy **** special of an exhaust that had multiple leaks and droned like you wouldn't believe. A Corsa and high flow cats fixed all of that, and the fluid change was very much...
So, I decided to have cats installed, and did so today. The fuel smell was starting to bother me and the car was a little too loud and raspy. the cats solved all these problems and it's much more enjoyable to drive now. While I was in the shop I took a look under the car and there are actually...
When I bought my car it had a ridiculous frankenstein of an exhaust on it that droned like crazy and had multiple exhaust leaks. I have since removed the crappy jiffylube special cats and exhaust and put on a Corsa with a piece of pipe where the cat used to be. The car didn't seem to notice or...
All you should have to do is remove the accessories belt and then unbolt the old one and put in the new one. I changed my alternator a few weeks ago and it was very easy. This should be about the same effort, though you'll need to access it from under the car as far as I can tell.
Yeah, I figured it was probably a BCM issue. It would be very weird for both regulators to fail in the exact same way, and the motors do indeed work fine up and down. I've had the battery both replaced recently and also disconnected for an extended time when I replaced the alternator. Same...
