    Can never trust new parts

Maybe it was an American working in a Mexican shop. Google search: Each day, hundreds of thousands of people cross both sides of the border legally to work, live, or visit close relatives and friends. In addition, an estimated 1.6 million U.S. citizens live in Mexico and Mexico is the...

    Oil Filter Recommendations

Steve, are you talking about the SRT (5038041AA) for my Gen ll Viper? Just want to be sure.

    Oil Filter Recommendations

I've always used the OEM Viper oil filter (5037836AB) but I've been having difficulty finding them. When I do, they're running around $25 shipped, which seems overly expensive to me. Can someone recommend an alternate oil filter for Gen ll Vipers?

Question about coolant change on my 1997 GTS with 16k miles

When I bought my '02 Viper six years ago, there wasn't much maintenance history. I had all fluids replaced. New plugs and wires too. A billet aluminum power steering bracket and pully added as well. I'm sure you'll hear more from others on this forum. Congrats on the car. Oh, and you should...

    My viper conundrum

I drive my 02 Viper once or twice weekly, averaging 2500 miles annually. I've had mine for 6 years and used to worry about dings, cracked headlights, windshields, etc. No longer. I drive it and enjoy the ride as often as I can. When on interstates and other highways I'm careful about driving...

    Insurance

I have Hagerty but not so cheap for me. Perfect driving record, live in a high population area of SC, $60,000 agreed value, my cost is approximately $1300 annually. I do have high coverage...$300,000 for most incidents. Maybe that's why the cost is high in my opinion. Drive a 2002 RT/10.

    Backup Camera Recommendations

Can anyone recommend a backup camera for my gen 2 roadster?

Gen 2 vs. Gen 5 GTS

I have a Gen 2 RT/10. Very comfortable car to drive (yes, a dead pedal would be a welcome addition) and it attracts a lot of attention from others. I know Vipers are difficult to find, but sitting in both, and more importantly, driving both, might help you decide. For me, the raw, basic appeal...

    Insurance Question for the Group:

^^^Agree with Reguy. I have an '02 RT/10 with Haggerty with a $60,000 agreed value and between 100,000 and 300,000 coverage depending on issues. I'm at $1400 annually for payments. Location matters (lots of accidents here in Greenville, SC) but I'm still way high compared with the $500 annual...
