    and if you do the work yourself you will not believe what a pos the OEM bracket is. I couldn't believe anybody would put that part in that place on a car like this.

    The only way I can get the front latch down is if the back of the panel is raised up over the sport bar and weather stripping keeps me from getting it down into place. If I put the back into place I can't get the front to latch. I tried splitting the difference but no luck there either.

    I feel stupid, but how do you get the oil filter out of a 96 GTS?

    I know I'm not much help here, but it ***** when a 15 minute job turns into an disaster, I had a bad day in the garage today but not near this bad. Well at least your on the way to getting fixed Troblemaker, you're in good hands.
