Same bought a cheapo Amazon set and they work awesome. Especially the remote clamp guy. The unfortunate issue with running spring clamps is the hose must be removed. It wasn't a silicone hose that I used the worm drive on, but one of the heater hoses. Should be ok for now, until it's not. I have...

Should be good to go for a rip once the street dry up. The most nerve racking portion of this entire learning process was having the lady help R&R the hood. Blankets were just an insurance policy. Edit: fans didn't kick until their required temp.

Sounds good, I'll be able to replace the clamp with that style without having to pull the line. Otherwise good news, ran more water through including deionized. Followed with a full fill of coolant it's cooling off as well speak. In the graph you can see the heat rise as air pockets left the...

Of course. Thanks to everyone that posted, I appreciate all of the input and suggestions. Given the mileage on the pump I was surprised. Being inexperience with these cars couldn't believe it had failed so prematurely. Still have got to figure out the relay issue and actually pressurize the...

All pretty in line with each other. All that BS in the cooling system is tiny pieces of water pump impeller, which I'm sure is good for it.

Ran the vehicle a little hot, gave her a few throttle blips, Gauge read cold, PCM read hot. Likely an air pocket still. Shut her down burped the system, took nearly 3 gallons of the freshest lake Michigan water. Going to let it cool drain and redo the whole thing. Grabbed some peak global...

so the pump had low mileage and instead of a long turn around time I decide to wing it while saving some money at a risk by swapping a new impeller. does swapping the guts from a gen1 work just the same on either impeller shaft diameter pump housing, or is it just the shaft that is different? I...

This should help. Going to drain and fill the system a couple times with tap water. Flush with deionized. Any suggestions on conventional coolant. The peak global lifetime or the or zerek G05? Both seem like winners. Might smear a little gray rtv/hondabond on the gasket prior to install.

The belts in good shape Power steering pulley was done. The mount I'm unsure of, I'll have to take a closer look later on. Got the hoses, the lower was in bad shape. Idler pulley seems alright. And I may wait on the rack bushings until I can get it on the lift at my old place. this would be...

welp. It's certainly the pump. And looks to be an aftermarket unit. Non nurled but double backed nut looking piece holding the impeller on. Nice. So what's the best place to start?

Good to know, it was mainly leaves, sand, and what looks like some random paper towels. When I have time tonight im going to just run some straight water through the radiator. Get it all cleaned up and hopefully get that water pump checked out. You didn't remove the condenser did you?

I ran the check a few times the other day. It was hardly warming up. Figure running water through the system a few times and completely flushing out the radiator of all the Evans can only help

Buncha shit clogging the front of the radiator as well, going to start by flushing this thing out

You guys are right. I'm going to ditch the current coolant go with conventional.(ZEREX G05?) Going to get the hood off so I'm not bent over messing with the water pump/ radiator and what not. Thanks again, I'll report back with my findings. Edit; this will certainly make working on it easier
