Calabogie Viper Days - WHAT A WEEKEND !

As a racer - I had what could only be described as a dream event. :drive: - In qualifying, I broke the existing Calabogie track record. - I won both the 30 minute and 50 minute races against all of the Viper Race League regulars. - Along the way, I beat the track owner (Bruce Gregory) in...

    Hey Nick Majors!!!

So you noticed. Actually, we had a big problem and a very rough start to the season. (But all worked out fine :D) Started out on Wednesday, May 7 - at Mosport for a Test Day. During the winter we had installed a new Quaif Sequential Gear Box and it had to have a custom drive shaft...

    Calabogie hotel/resort???

Don't worry too much about it. I've stayed there before and it's not that bad. Just simple. VERY close to the track and has a restuarant/pub on the premises. Last time they even had wireless internet. Many track visitors stay there. Nick Majors

    Calabogie hotel/resort???

I just booked into the Best Western - Renfrew Inn and Conference Centre. Their website said no availability for those dates - but when I called, they had a block of rooms set aside for Viper Club members. I've been there before, and it's nice because Renfrew is a "liitle" larger than...

    Calabogie hotel/resort???

Hi Glenn, I have been to Calabogie Motorsports Park several times in the past year and a half. I have found both Jocko's and the Calabogie Motor Inn to be pretty "basic" motel type accommodations. Convenient, yes - but not too impressive. I hear that the Golf Club is nice, but never stayed...

    Ontario Viper Techs

I know several of the shops mentioned here (like Whitehead, Sam's Garage, etc.) and they are all great - none the less . . . If anyone lives or works in the North West GTA - I would HIGHLY recommend Ian McQuillan of Hockley Autosports (905-729-2971). Ian is the crew chief for my Comp Coupe...

Canadian Nick Majors to drive Woodhouse Viper in Speed World Challenge

Thanks for all the good wishes. Unfortunately, here's the latest update . . . This past weekend at Mosport, in the last race of the BARC Canada Day Grand Prix, I lost control of the car in corner one and hit the outside wall. I then bounced back onto the track and was t-boned by a Corvette...

    Thanks Nick Majors

We had a fantastic weekend and some great Viper vs Viper racing. The two snakes dominated most of the weekend. In the fastest class GT1 - where I am the defending champion - Alex beat me in the first race (running his fastest times ever in the 1:25's) and I won the next two and was presented...

    Done driving school before?

Santo, I have been doing track and racing for about eight years, most recenlty in my Viper CC. Yes, it's a lot of car to handle, but with good instruction and adequate seat time, there is little to be afraid of. The Calabogie event in June provides instructors for students at all levels...

Ontario VCA Members: check in please.

I'm here. Prepping for the start of a new Race Season at Mosport on May 12-13. Unfortunately, our second race of the season is at Shannonville on June 2-3, conflicting with the club's Calabogie event. I race the CC at Calabogie in late July. Bruno - when will you be out with us? Nick...

    Moton canister pressures

In testing we have run canisters at various pressures, as low as 90 and as high as 275. The car's suspension seems to react best to the higher numbers. We made this change (increasing canister pressure) based on data acquisition results, after upgrading to the Advanced Pro Motec Software. We...

    Viper wins Canadian Series

This past weekend, we just finished our 8 event / 24 race sprint series and ended up in first place, winning the Canadian Automobile Sports Clubs (our SCCA) Ontario Challenge Cup GT-1 title. The 2006 season saw one of the largest fields in many years with 18 GT-1 cars racing with up to 55 cars...

    Racing Debut Photos

If you have a look at my personal website you'll find a couple of pictures from this weekend's regional racing debut of CC-78. Graphics were temporary, just thrown on for the weekend and will be done up right in the next two weeks. Scored two strong second place finishes, losing each race to...
