I can't imagine why people buy cars and don't drive them. I proudly put 32k miles on my '02 RT/10, which I'm now trying to sell eBay Motors: Dodge : Viper (item 170188893869 end time Feb-01-08 12:24:15 PST) or ViperClub Classifieds - Red RT-10 with Tan Leather Interior, both tops - Powered by...
I'm in Houston. My '02 RT/10 stays cool inside even in 100+ degree weather, and I've not yet recharged the AC. My engine temp was starting to push over 200-210 when sitting in traffic during the summer, so I flushed the radiator. Since then, I edge just a bit over 195 when in stop-and-go...
I've dealt with the same issue from a seller's perspective. I'm trying to sell my 2002 Red RT/10, and feel that it is worth in the mid to high 40's, based on similar cars currently and previously on the market. Some have sold in the low 50s. So I don't think the guy with the yellow viper is...
I have an extra red hardtop from an '02 RT/10 that should work for you. It's never been used. I just never got around to selling it. Need some money, so I'd cut you a deal. Sent you an email.
I've got a rear window from an '02 that was never used. Glass, seal, locks, key, snaps, and leather sleeve are all pristine. It sounds like Woodhouse already quoted you pretty low, given the supply and demand, but I'm willing to negotiate something.
Re: Cause of Mistress\'s fire finally discovered - warning to all.
If you top off, you can potentially create too much pressure when the gas in the tank heats up a bit and expands. Very bad for the car.
When I feel like showing off a little, I pull the top on the RT, crank the bass on my 10" Kicker in the floorboard and put on a very specific playlist:
Black Betty - Ram Jam
Who Do You Love - George Thorogood
Spybreak! - Propellerheads (Matrix Soundtrack)
Magic Carpet Ride (remix) - The Crystal...
I always tend towards respectful just out of habit...parents brought me up that way. That said, I'd love to someday piss off a cop who pulled me over.
"Do you know how fast you were goin', boy?"
"'Course I do, genius. What do you think I drive?"
"Hey! Watch that attitude, boy! You were doing...
rcdice, as you can see, it's definitely a subjective opinion. There's a big enough difference that it would likely behoove you to hear and feel it on different cars before making your decision.
I've seen a lot of articles where cops were interviewed on the subject of how to get out of a ticket. Amongst a number of items, the top three things seem to be:
1. Honesty
2. Respect and
3. Be aware of how fast you were going
Greg,
You're welcome to jump in on our list to keep tabs on our progress. I'm sure it would be a good idea for each of the Texas groups to stay in close contact.
I've had really bad experience with the Mr. Clean AutoDry system on numerous cars, using very meticulous techniques. I strongly agree with Gar on the merits of deionized water, but will personally stay away from the Mr. Clean system in the future.
