Throw up pics of your Personalized Viper License Plates

The "official scientific" name is Vipiris Aspis Tejas - a rare (1 of 6) highly venonous serpent native to Texas - the TX ASP And of course there's two of the three Z cars -- '93 300ZX Twin Turbo (Z FLYBY) and '03 blown 350Z (FLYIN Z) -- USAF plates. The '07 350Z roadster (not pictured) is WHIZZY.

New 2013 Viper looks like a "Chick Car"

Thanks, Paul, for being one of the few liberated thinkers around here. I've driven high performance cars all my adult life (since the mid '60s) and absolutely love the Viper. The Viper is just as much a women's car as it might be a man's car -- it's really a car for any high performance car...

New 2013 Viper looks like a "Chick Car"

Re: New 2013 Viper looks like a "Chick Car" -- You Bet It Is! I really hate to burst y'all's bubble, but the Viper has always been a "chick car" -- I'm one of those chicks who has been driving high performance cars since the mid 1960s. So, "chicks" do own snakes, and we can drive 'em. I don't...

Corvette owner moved after I moved to the street

Nissan is still trying to beat the Viper on the Nurburgring -- they've spent millions and haven't been able to do it yet. They got a little closer in 2010, but are still a couple seconds off the mark. I actually had a special order in for one of the first GT-Rs, but cancelled the order when...

Corvette owner moved after I moved to the street

The conversation is a hoot. In my neighborhood, all the car lovers live within a half block of each other--three Vettes, a very wicked Cobra, a gorgeous and mean old school Camaro, a very cherry '66 Stang (also loud), and my three Z cars (one twin turbo and one supercharged) and the snake. We're...

    Jan 2011 Event already planned!

I know we had a lot of folks taking pictures. Is anyone going to post them to the Internet?

I seem to recall following a graphite ACR through a huge lake -- what a huge rooster tail of water! :drive: I wonder who that could have been?

The Weather Channel has us up to 60% chance of rain Saturday. Bummer.

If the Google Maps link doesn't show a map, hit your browser back button. For some reason it sometimes slides by the map when it loads. If you have a phone that will run the Google Maps app, you can save the map to My Maps and then access it from your phone -- the Droid, Blackberry, and a...

    Jan 2011 Event already planned!

If the San Antonio folks were to leave at 9:00 a.m., we could get a little early morning "heart starter" in on River Road. Total drive time on the alternate route is 1:30 which would put us in San Marcos at 10:30 a.m. I-35 north to exit on 337; left on 337 to River Road; left on River Road to...

Here's the route map and directions. I think the GPS folks can pluck waypoint coordinates from it. I think you can also plug it into Google Earth for some serious route study. Let me know if anyone has any problems. We should also be able to e-mail the map link to everyone. Viper 1/8/11 -...

    Supercharger DEALS FOR CHRISTMAS!!

Personally, I'd be hesitant to go with higher boost on a stock setup. At the very least I'd redo the entire fuel system and drop a little bigger injectors in. Even though the engine compression through Gen III is low enough to handle the boost, the fuel system becomes the critical component...

    Jan 2011 Event already planned!

The e-mail inbox was full -- it's empty now, so it works (too much junk e-mail in there). They have a cheese at the dairy that will really give you a buzz in a hurry. I forgot the name of it, but it's got a real kick to it. It's a pretty easy drive (all right turns to make a caravan easy)...

    Jan 2011 Event already planned!

Anything planned for a cruise after lunch? If not, how about 183 south to Gonzales, turns into 111, right on 97 to Cost, right on FM 466 west to FM 477, right on 46 to Seguin? The SA folks can jump on I-10 west or continue with Austin folks up 46 to New Braunfels and hit I-35. Why FM 466...

rear end noise with sharp turns?

My '06 does the same thing -- most obvious when backing out of the driveway. I did swap out the diff fluid and replaced with exact recommended Mopar fluid and additive. It made no difference. I think it may have to do with the diff and fluid not yet warmed up so it's noisy when everything is cold.
