cold wet tires + 2 degree weather not so good
I once had the Viper spin around on me while in a parking lot after it got real cold. I also had runflats on which turn as hard as hockey pucks at cold temps and have little to no grip. If you had run flats and it was 2 degrees I could see the back end acting like it was on ice the whole time.- TheMilkman

About to pull the trigger on an 08-09, I have a few questions though.
Using the Viper as a DD isn't too bad. Just get used to walking far to places as you will want to park Far far away from everyone else. I put 25K on my Viper over 3 years and enjoyed every moment. It was fun being known at work as the guy with the Viper. Even bad traffic isn't all that bad...- TheMilkman

What's an 08 Viper with 48,000 miles worth?
Well I went through the sale of a Viper with High mileage. I started in Aug with a reasonable 59K for the Viper with 24K miles. I got no response. I dropped it to 56K and got no response. Nope, no stories, no history, no issues. I just can't really afford to keep up on the upkeep. $200 oil changes and such start to add up over time. Are people "dumping" their Vipers. What will happen to resale
I just went and edited my current ad. It does feel like you are dumping the car when you are selling it at or below blue book. It seems a number of people can't get loans on cars valued over Blue Book. So, if you want to see a "Dumped" 2008 Coupe, check my ad- TheMilkman

Fail on ad for the only Graphite ACR I could afford :(

Motor Trend says 2013 will have the 6.4 V8
To the poster that said high horse power cars will be a thing of the past hasn't looked at recent trends. A lot of cars are actually going up in Horse Power. It seems like if the auto has tons of HP and low gearing that it can get better MPG. Think of a 700HP Viper going 65 on the highway...- TheMilkman

I learned at an autocross that "I have more weight in my foot than my tires have stickiness." Meaning, a little too much gas will send you out of control, and usually quicker than you might think.
