You've got to be kidding me..Why is the meeting always at the same place? Why is this posting on the main board and not in the meetings section?

Do you own 1/2 of this Pizza place? This post looks more like a promo than anything else!!

This makes me want to puke..just after I sign up for the GA VCA...

Damn, I'm tired of being taken advantage of...

02ViperTodd: Chill man, what's your problem? Yes the meeting has been at Pepperoni's for a while and yes there are some of us that would like to see it moved around, but you don't need to be an ******** about it and it won't stop me from coming to the meetings.

If you have problems with the GA VCA bring them up at the meeting, its more constructive and I find people are a little more professional face to face. Plus, it sounds like you just nominated yourself to do some research on other locations...

The reason Wayne (KNGSNK, GA VCA President) posted these all over is he just got his username fixed after several months of not having it, so cut the guy some slack.

I vote for whatever keeps me from having to get on 400. It takes me 3+ hours to get to a VCA meeting after I spend atleast an hour SITTING on 400.

I was in the Georgia GandZ Club, and we had meetings in the summer late in the day on Saturday's or Sunday's so it would cool off not long into the meeting. This would allow people to check out each others cars and have dinner.
No Traffic

In the winter time we would have meetings in the middle of the day on Saturdays's, and Sunday's. This would also have us meeting in daylight, and the warmest part of the day to hang around outside and look at each others cars.
No Traffic

We had our meetings monthly, but every other month was at Gilly's just off of Chamblee Dunwoody road. They have a great parking lot for the cars to park in, just outside the doors of the restaurant. You can sit inside with a cold one and look out at your car. Gilly's is very centrally located so it was easy for someone to get to from any part of town. (75, 85, 400, and from the North or South) The other (every other month) was somewhere like Dave and Busters, *Gwinnett, and Marietta*, Manuels Tavern for an Atlanta meet, and even the Varsity a couple of times.

We enjoyed the weekend meetings and no traffic. Occasionally we had to change from a Saturday to a Sunday for a car show or something, but all in all it really helped attendance. We invited the Peachstate Posse to a meeting a while back and ended up with over 50 cars at once, in the parking lot of D&B's Gwinnett, and it lasted for hours.

Just my 2cents.

This is super. If all it takes is a meeting in one place for a while to get a few people fired up and what appears interested in getting involved in assisting with future locations for meetings, coordinating events, and assisting with future committees to further promote the Georgia club..........well that is just great in my book.

To each of you for the support and ideas to include the slam from a behind a key board, THANK YOU. My number is there..... call me so this can be productive -vs- just listening to someone piss and moan. Keep in mind this is not to say you complaint is not valid, just bring it to the table with a potential solution.

For those of you who do know me I am in your face, face to face, up front and forward. My intent is to move this club forward with the best of the ability and time available.

Those with the concerns.......... get involved. Should you wish to offer compliants, heck, I think its great. From now on offer your solution if possible as well to not just help YOUR situation but the group as well.

Prior to this past series of monthly meetings at the same location time was given to the location just like time is and has been given to future locations for the monthly meeting(s) starting in July.

I drove to where ever the meeting was to help support the club. Passed my ideas along from frustations of other members to include myself. I can not remember the complete lack of respect and rude statements I forwarded to others -vs- calling them or directing email to them to help resolve what appeared to be a problem.

So, in closing. There will be a new location in JULY and it will be the LAST MONDAY of each month. The same location? Very possible as this allowes members to simply know where the meeting is at - as this may be just for a quater of the year or so. It has been found that a different location each and every month at times (so the complaints came in) became hard to follow. I and WE (yall) will do our best to serve all the members.

Driving from Macon to attend the meetings. Super and Thanks. Hey and no complaints. what a concept. Thank you

Being taken advantage of........ well you just joined the club...... how does that work???? Beside, should you have called or simply taken a bit of time to know a little about you it would be clear that that would never happen. You will find that your friends and mine will support that statement. I do like your passion because directed in the proper direction you can help a great deal.

Mtg notice looks like an advertisiment. Sure does. They welcome our club if 15 or 30 people show up without a service charge. They offered great service and yes, good food as many have said. I now understand I may have to bring som Anti Acid for a few of the members. This was not intended to be forever.

Traffic........ well its a pain on just about every major road in the area.

Enough said guys. I am not here to piss people off. I will continue to offer the best of my ideas to move the club forward and speak to each of you personnally to offer Thanks as well as a piece of my mind to you help move the club forward as well.

This is not about ME and certanily is not about just YOU. Every member as best as possible should should benefit from the club and its events.

Thanks

Any interest on Saturday and Sunday meetings?

Can it be put before the GA Club members.

I think many people don't come out due to traffic, work the next day, etc....

Thanks,
Alan

Thought has been given to those days, and we have not given up on looking at them. Several time much of the response is all the sporting events parents share with their kids to include that time being reserved for family outings as well. If this has changed and it allowes for a larger group to attend and be/get involved by all means many of the members I am sure would look to that being a positive move.

Much of the time from year to year change ends up being a month to month event and many have stated to include history from previous clubs, ours included that that it reaches a point where you just do not know where the meeting is or members only attend when convenience allowes it. Trust me, these frustrations are consistant as well as valid. I will be looking at all member locations on a map and look for locations that consider traffic, drive time, parking for Vipers, the ability to show up with 8, 15, or 40 members on a short notice yet still be accepted.

I think that 4 meeting locations could be picked, one for each quater of the year. This would cover members being made aware of the location, place and time well in advance. Consideration given to the factors above also helps to draw more members to include those who clearly see that we, the Viper Club, are attempting to accomodae as many as possible with each decision.

I appreciate all that you are offering. This is not my club, its ours, your involvement and ideas as well as possible solutions will always be greatly appreciated. I, at times, just get to be the one who gets the jabs which is exactly why I took the position whe Joe needed to step away. I will deal with each of the people and situations as opportunity and time are provided.

Thanks.

UUmm,
I gues I turned the worm on this one..However, I did talk with you last night, Wayne..THere is NO reason why the meetings can't be chnged to different locals and different nights of the week or weekend.

DO you have to be there at every meeting..I'd think NOT. Just post..well again the GA vioper club site is 4 years old..I dont know how you'd update everyone..but hell..if 5 or 10 guys were to be able to get together every week...better than the same 10 every week!!

Maybe Georgia is too big for one president?

It's obvious there are concerns about this. I didn't dream it up.

Perhaps, as you said, the GAVIPER website will be up. There are a lot of us that could meet during the week, on the weekend or totally informally. I REALLY think that would hook us up more on a big event!!

I'm planning on going to the Viper Days at VIR, if I can get my car ready..anyone else?

THis is a question that should have already been put on the defunct website!!

I'm sorry to be this way but from the VCA board..seems every other club is having a dammn good time with each other.
Maybe I'm just not in your groove..

I'm happy to put the flame suit on..but I really feel this way,
Todd

Todd, I agree in many areas of what you said. Things will change and different locals have been and are being looked at. I do not need to be at every meeting yet have the ability to make any meeting at any time of the week. These meetings have never been set for me and my conveniance. I would never expect anyone else to do the same.

Georgia to big for one president? Not by a long shot. Are there a lot of members that could assist with ideas and events. Of course. It is easy to comment from the sidelines and that will never be stated as a slam. It is simply intended to get those individuals to take a few steps to assist, schedule, follow-up with and on events and move the club forward.

Todd, as mentioned in a previous post. Will you be willing to step up and assist the Georgia Club with me from this day forward? Not a trick question yet it requires only a simple answer YES or NO. I would love to have you jump in and help as your ideas may bring others to the table as well. You could chair a committe on the Georgia Club which was one of my goals for the Club.

I am not a have all and know all guy Todd and neither are you. Working with others in the club allows things to work and to keep moving ahead.......... so can you committ to come on board and help?

The core group that attends the meetings. You will find this at any location, meetings of only 5, 6 or 8 members on a consistant basis would not be acceptable to me, our DAL or RD for Georgia. WE CAN DO MUCH BETTER THAN THAT. Keep in mind that the range of age and interest each year keeps getting farther and farther apart. We need to keep attempting to accomidate all our members.

Your friend Chad has set one hell of an example. Although clear that many can not and will not drive as he does to meetings he sure set and example for many. A simple courtesy has the group going to Macon on the 25th, which I hope you can attend as well to have a great time and in a small way to say THANKS for his efforts and committment. This will be done in other areas of Georgia as well.

Chad is setting up all the arrangments for Macon aslo. This is great.

I do not have to run the show Todd I just need to make sure the show keeps on running and I will do all that I can to do it because I owe it to YOU and every other member. Screw ups from time to time.....you bet. We just keep on going.

Give me a call tomorrow. 678.898.9782

Thanks.

I'll go just about anywhere _but_ Pepperoni's. 400N on a thursday is a fate worse than death. may as well make it in Valdosta... it will take less time to get there. Or Ringgold... I hear we have a big viper presence up there.

- Pick a different place
- Pick a different day of the week

do both of these and you might get increased attendance. of course, if 50 people (ok, 18 is considered a "good" number") show up on Thurs, then keep it at pepperoni's all year round.

back from hibernation just in time to make 1 post...

Lets have a vote for Saturdays or Sundays.

Saturdays, early or late to avoid the heat, and still have daylight to see each others rides. Sunday afternoons, or Saturday afternoons in the winter to have the warm part of the day. Schedules can be adjusted based on events.

After using this schedule with the Georgia G and Z Club, none of the members would even consider a week night. Saturdays and Sundays are great for travel by members outside of Atlanta.
