I'm looking at a 97 Red GTS and 99 Black GTS.

The Red 97 on black looks great but isn't my first color choice. It's also a more expensive car with lots of mods.

I like the black exterior color of the 99 but the Cognac interior doesn't look very good in the pics. Does it look any better in person or worse? :omg: This car is less expensive but is bone stock.

i think cognac interior would look nice if you kept the steering wheel black, the cognac on the steering wheel looks out of place.

I don't like the cognac... I think it lessens the value also (most ppl prefer black, the cognac can be a tough sell from my experience)

That's what I'm thinking too. It's really making me think twice about buying it.:dunno:

The black interiors look way better in pics. :2tu:

I was in the same boat as you when I was looking. I looked at the pictures and thought it can't look that bad in person. I have to say after seeing it in person; It does not fit my taste at all. The folks that I talked to ordered it because they were afraid of the heat of black seats in the sun. I would rather have 3rd degree burns daily than to have to look at that every day :pokey:

On a Black, Silver, Steel Grey, Graphite, the cognac interior is super nice and much rarier and cost more money then black. It adds great contrast and class

I agree that nice contrast and a fresh change is welcomed! How many times are you going to do the black thing with cars over and over. Why not open up to a more interesting choice. With the right color, the car will look much nicer and richer. It has to be done tastefully though.

I love the cognac interior, but I think it fits with Black, Sapphire blue, and Graphite Metallic best. I've been starting to save as much as I can. I hope and pray everyday that my first Viper will be a Black, Blue, or Graphite RT/10 or GTS with Cognac. Although I wouldn't turn down a good deal on a black int.

As a matter of fact this car is THE PERFECT car for me that if I had the money I'd hit buy it now tonight:

Here is a pic of my car with Cognac Connelly Int. Personally I think it looks good on dark colored cars. It really offsets the black ext. Not really that good of a pic, but it is all I have here.

Nice car but man does it need tires bad. I never seen tires cracked that bad from age.

That seems like a remarkably good price for a low mileage '99.
I wonder why.

The cognac I have seen on super low mileage cars, looks very nice. But it doesnt seem to wear well... Thats my only problem with it.. I have seen some cognac cars, were the material is wearing through. And now has black spots on it. especially the shifter.. Looks terrible.. Butthen again, Im super anal... My car has 13k on it, and the seats look new.

I almost bought a Red/Cognac 2001 GTS.. I actually liked it. And its a rare combo.. In the end, I opted for a Yellow GTS, in which Cognac was not an option..

I always get compliments on mine. I really like it and was a big factor in purchasing the car.

I saw a red/white strip 2001 RT the other day, and I thought it looked great. Nice change from the black. BTW, it was for sale. With 10K miles, two tops, I think they are asking $48K

I just bought Bernie Katz's 97 Red GTS with Roe S/C.

So it'll be black and red (SnakeHydes) interior for me. :2tu:

Since your previous post indicates you have already purchased the 97 GTS the point is moot for you. But as for me, I would not own anything BUT the Cognac interior with the red, black, or saphire cars. Mine is a red RT/10 and i kept waiting until the cognac was available. Obviously this is personal choice. However, the cognac combined with the black dash and trim looks very, very nice in MHO. A black car with black interior is just too much black for my taste. To each his own.
