Well, I had EBC Red pads put in about 150 miles ago.... first 100 miles went fine, but since then Ive had this loud roar/glazing noise when I press the brakes pretty hard. It only happens when the brakes are hot... so it takes a good 20mins of driving to get to that point. When the car is cold, absolutely no noise.

So I took it back to the dealer who installed them, viper tech takes a look at it and asks me about the quality of the pads. I tell him that theyre good pads and are not some cheap knockoffs. Anyhow, he says he believes this roaring sound is a result of the pads and the rotors not cooperating. He said the pads seem to be too "hard" (whatever that means) for the rotor.

The rotors are in good condition, but Im not sure if theyre the stock rotors and/or how many miles are on them. Car was bought just 2 months ago.... so I changed the pads due to squeaking. Now Ive got this other noise to deal with.

Opinions? Id really like to avoid having to get new rotors to accomdate the EBC pads. My stock brakepads didnt make this noise (they squeaked a bit but nothing like this)

It's been awhile since I've been here, so maybe there is something better. But I use EBC greens for the street.

The greens use to be good for the street, but now the reds are the best. My reds have been fine since I put them on months ago. I have drilled and slotted rotors, not stock.
