Many of you will think I'm totally nuts:crazy2:, but I have the opportunity to buy my old ACR back so I'm looking to sell the SSG vert. I just like the feel, fit and look of the Gen 2's, and if I need a little extra grunt I can always add a Paxton:drive:

No offense, I think you're probably insane--(In a good way of course) If you feel a lapse of judgement and want to give away that SSG Viper, let me know, I'll take it!!!!!:D

Not nuts at all. I would never trade my gts over an srt ( not taking anything away from them).

Lorenzo, I agree with your choice. Although I own an 06 coupe, I do prefer the styling of the "old" gen 1's and 2's. I think it's the curvy lines that get to me.

I see the logic! I would never get rid of my GTS - that car is a keeper, and the new ones just don't compare as far as the looks go (my opinion, of course). Any way you can keep both? The Gen II cars have that brutal "I think I'm going to get hurt today" feel to them when driven hard, but there's a lot to be said about the refinement, ride, comfort and power of the Gen IV cars. I look forward to doing a side-by-side comparison once my new ACR gets in.

As much as I love my SRT, especially with the Street Serpent kit, I always wanted a Gen II ACR, I just wish they would have let me register one in Cyprus (we have a 5 year age limitation on registering cars)...

Well done. If a new 2002 ACR would of been available before I got my 09 I would of bought it instead. I really miss my GTS. Not so claustrophobic inside and much easier to drive at the limit. Heel toeing was MUCH easier, no drive by wire, and the looks/lines, well you know!! Gen 4 seats though far better.

Lawrence. Buy my Coupe instead!

Billy

I just knew you were going to chime in on this thread Mr. "Changes cars like I change my socks":D

I'm just not feeling the whole love for the Gen4 experience as much as I did for my ACR:dunno:.

Someone make me a legit offer, and we can both be Viperin' down the road happily:D

I've done the very same thing... Only I can't seem to give away my Gen 4.

Best of luck with your sale!

Who cares what anyone else thinks? Go with the car that makes you happy. I just traded my TT GTS for a TT 05 Vert. I traded because my 66 year old dad has a lot of trouble getting in/out of my car and he can't enjoy it. The guy that had that 05 wanted a cage/parachute so he can race his car. So everything worked out for both of us.

Go with that makes you happy.

And another beautiful Sapphire/Silver '01 ACR. Awesome.

I like my 01 GTS best. After upgrading with the Roe, exhaust, wheels, lighweight bigger brakes, Bluetooth, etc. I wouldn't want to trade it for a newer, slower, less pretty, whimpy sounding Viper. I'm sure I'd prefer a newer Viper to a stock Gen 2 because of the added stopping and power, but that's why I modded my GTS.

Make yourself happy! Adding a supercharger (I prefer the Roe twin screw for a Gen 2) is getting easier all the time and the lightweight brakes are an easy 2-4 hour modification.

Wow that is awesome, a Viper in Cyprus. I was there in 06 with the USS Iwo Jima. Cool place, though they wouldn't let us go to Turkey. Only thing I saw there though was a bunch of Nissan R32s.

Thats a stunner:omg::omg: Are you trying to sell it.? Wow I wish I had some crazy cash floating around...Kevin

It's been up for sale for about 2 years now- I remember seeing it on Autotrader before I bought my ACR.

Even trade..... I don't think so. Put $15k into the mix and we might have something to talk about.
