Isn't that fan controlled by a thermostat local to the fan itself? What relay did you change?? I'd bet that the thermostat IS your relay and that the sensor has failed. If I was a designer, I would default the thermocouple switch to a normally closed position if the thermocouple failed because having air is safer than not. Just a thought...

Guys, RT10's car is a 1994...as stated in another thread where he
added his own question at the end:

http://forums.viperclub.org/threads/648605-New-Owner-with-two-questions

RT10 said: "94 Viper Red
Can you help me with this one.
Radiator fan
runs all the time .cold/hot
From the time you turn the key on ,to when I
turn it off
Is this right our is one of the sencers not. Working and which
One would it be."

Then Steve-Indy said: "Hi, RT10....I will bet that you will get
more answers faster by posting this again in the R/T 10 and GTS Discussion
section.
Have you clecked fan relay ??? "

And, RT10 replied: "Yes And even changed them"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, HOPEFULLY we can all get on the same page...so to speak!! :)

GREAT point, Paul...especially since many Gen I & II owners do not fully understand the settings on the HVAC dials !!!

The engine coolant temp sensor is threaded into water crossover cover at the rear of the intake manifold (at T-stat)...this supplies info to PCM and controls fan. THIS sensor is on the passenger side of this area at the T-stat...the sensor on the driver's side by the T-stat is the temp sensor for the temp gauge as I recall.

By the way...if you have not removed connectors and cleaned them (male and female sides) with something safe... such as Mopar's Electrical Contact Cleaner...it MIGHT help, and save some $$$. Just a thought.
