Paxton vs small twin turbo kit for street tires?

I'm not looking to make record top end power, but would like the ability to switch between fuel types without a big hassle. If I made 800 rwhp that would be more than enough. I actually think 700 rwhp might suffice for anything I will be doing. Anyone had both to compare and which size turbos are recommended?

Disclaimer: I'm not wanting to buy anything from vendors so please no PM's about buying turbo or supercharger kits. Nothing personal, its just that I have my own source for parts.

If you are wanting to make 800 WHP it would be easy to do with a turbo kit, a supercharger would be a little more difficult but doable. What type of fuels do you want to switch between? If you were running a supercharger, you wouldn't have the benefit of increasing the boost with a simple fuel change. Give me a call and we can discuss further. Cell 940-626-9949

Yeah I'm definitely thinking about the turbo setup. I was thinking a twin 61mm Turbonetics setup with HPC wheels and water cooling. I have a good friend that can custom weld the piping and exhaust manifolds out of very good metal.

Switch between 93 octane, 110 leaded, C16, and E85. I'm not sure if one set of injectors can accommodate all those different fuels and E85, correct me if I'm wrong.

Is the sky the limit for budget for the setup? If so just go TT and be done with it

If you size and build the fuel system correctly, and run the right EMS, you can switch maps on the fly. We build quite a few cars that have E85 flex fuel capability. Just having an E85 tune is not quite good enough for the variations in fuel quality. You really need to run a system that has the ability to adjust for actual E content.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, just run one of our "Street" turbo kits. You can make 800RWHP on pump gas all day with an SCT tune and not even need to worry about the other fuels.

I'm not a fan of kits that use a front mounted intercooler. I live in Florida (aka hot as hell) and I'm well aware of cars that were not originally designed for turbos that have front mount intercoolers with aftermarket turbo kits. Those cars overheat in traffic and always are trying to band aid the heat soak with bigger fans and what not.

I push RSI kits because unlike you, I have had two twin turbo cars both built by RSI and I have been nothing but happy with them. I would take my car there in a heart beat and encourage others to do so because I have confidence in my referral.

Wow, this thread has gotten a little heated. As far as I can see, RSI is a Supporting Vendor. So he and others have the right to recommend their stuff. I am not a fan boy of anyone's, so please don't think I am taking sides, I'm just stating facts. I have been researching engine builders for quite a while now, and the above mentioned one seems to come up in good regard. It's not to say their aren't more good builders out there, there are. Has anyone ever built a motor for Evan Smith, or raced any Corvettes with an RSI motor and then stop to talk to the owners afterward? That should derail a good thread even further.

WOW......I don't know where that comes from...........I live in Florida too and am on my 4th TWIN TURBO Viper with front Intercoolers and aftermarket TWIN TURBOs and have been in heavy traffic many many times, like 4 of us Vipers sat in stop and go traffic for over 2 hrs this past Saturday in Destin Florida idling and never got over 195 degrees..........I have never heard that one before..........news to me .......

I'm almost certain you're the fella who had a silver gen 2 turbo I almost purchased a couple years back.

This may come as a shocker, but not everybody wants to be like you (my second sports car will not be a Viper, oh my) A tonne of people have different brand TT kits and they don't go on every TT thread to push their car's TT kit just because they have it. Obviously you didn't read the OP's disclaimer, or just decided to ignore it anyway.
