6800 miles on car. Besides the recalls, oxygen sensor went out, oil leaked in 3 places, TWICE! Leaky roof resulting in wind noise. Dealer fixed it, but it I can't notice a difference between the repaired top and the old top. I am satisfied with minor mechanical problems.
Re: Honey... I\'m home... (w/ my new 05 SRT-10)
Welcome, Viperdad. You are one lucky dad. Again, it's not the viper, but the gesture that counts. My kids are very young, and I can only dream and hope that my kids will be 1/2 as generous as your son is. You are one lucky man!
Re: Honey... I\'m home... (w/ my new 05 SRT-10)
I am sure it's not the car that your dad is happy about....it's the awesome son you are that your dad is happy!!! This is the first and only thread ever that has touched me "sniff sniff". Imagine, of all forum, the viper forum! :) )
The only thing that is harder to do an oil change with the viper than with other cars is that it is so much lower. You will need a jack that goes down to below 5 inches. Otherthan that, no harder than any other cars.
Re: Questions from a new \'03 owner...................
Clay bar it and if it doesn't work, bring it to a professional detailer. You can really ruin it if you don't know what to do. It's just not worth it to save a couple hundred dollars's.
Don't worry, I went through this a couple months ago with an 03 SRT. Check under the hood to make sure the EPA sticker certifying that it meets CA emissions standards is still there. If it has under 7500 miles it's still considered a new car and will need this. Look here for more info...
Re: Know why the vettes pulled me - K&N strikes again
Can anyone post pics? What holes are we talking about. I looked in my car and don't know what holes you are talking about. Thanks.
Guess what guys, the car just stopped the herky jerky this morning and then it came back again at lunch. On my way to my friend (a mechanic and viper owner), the engine light came on. The obdi (spelling?) thing says that my oxygen sensor is faulty! Off to the dealer this monday. I will...
Exactly! I can even hear the "bogging" down from my exhaust.....it doesn't gurgle like before anymore. I suspect the fact that I drove almost 8 hours in 100+ degree whether was the culprit. Let me know what the dealer says, please???? My warranty is over, so any problem will cost me money!
I am a former prosecutor and a practicing criminal defense attorney and I have to say that cops are the most lying sobs on the face of the earth. They are arrogant and are put on this earth to harrass people. A couple years back, I got pulled over because I was driving a brand new lexus and I...
I finally have around 7k on my 03. Last month I took it to Bakersfield, CA which is 4 hour drive each way in 110F weather. Car ran great and the AC cooled the car perfectly. It was on all the time. I've noticed that lately, if I am lightfooted on the car at around 2.5k rpm, the car start to...
Same as mine for all of the above. With 5000 miles, same smell. I understand with another viper owner here in Northern CA that it's the "viper" smell. :) ) get use to it. The AC should always be on unless it is at least in the low 60's. Today in Northern CA was rainy and in the high 60's, I...
Re: Found great deal on used Viper....but want to lease--Dealer help please
leasecompare.com. I went with them. Found my own car, call them up, based on the year and type of car and the price, they will email you back with the monthly and residual values and such. The process went so so...
A contract is a contract. Just because it's their fault doesn't mean you have to pay for it. OTherwise, why enter into a contract. For example, had you bought this service contract and now find out that a dealer down the road will sell you the same contract for 1/2 the price, you think this...
