Veyron Super Sport is testing the Nurburgring...

Throwing power and money at the problem, Bugatti looks like they're taking a shot at the record. (Can I say our record? I think I might...) http://bridgetogantry.com/2/index.php/home/news/430-bugatti-bring-veyron-ss-to-the-ring Always a good read at Bridge To Gantry, very fun site...

    Traded my Viper yesterday...

I know the question was asked of someone else, but I have an '09 SRT8 Challenger with the Vortech V3si centrifugal blower @ ~7 psi. It's been on the car for 2.5 years and about 18,000 miles, performing like a champ. Speedfactory did the install; they're a "top-tier" Vortech dealer. The car...

From the back, SSG STREET GTSR GEN V...

What I'm looking for in the Gen V ACR paint: following the GTS-R hood scheme, with contrasting color originating at the forward hood heat extractors... I'll have mine in SSG and black, please ;)

    Radar detectors

Not to hijack the thread, but where were you at the time? I'm trying to get a sense of where laser is used in NorCal. Especially curious about what CHP uses in the Stockton/Manteca to Calaveras county area... One thing's for sure: we're driving cars that will always get attention, for...

Slight squeek coming from drivers rear wheel.

If the e-brake pads look OK, particularly the inner pads, then you're not suffering from the same problem. Or maybe you've caught it early? I haven't searched for a specific solution to this problem, but there are multiple threads re: the e-brake topic. The one referenced below recommends...

Slight squeek coming from drivers rear wheel.

...I've read (on this forum) that in some cases the e-brake pads "over self-adjust", resulting in premature wear... worst case, when ignored, scoring the rotors. Check those e-brake pads.

    Air / Fuel gauge

The supplied Bosch wideband O2 sensor feeds a small central module, from which both the AFR gauge and the LCD display/logger draw their data. A weld-on bung for adding the wideband sensor is included in the package.

    Air / Fuel gauge

Yah, both in the Challenger. I keep the LCD stowed; the gauge provides the live data I want to see. LCD unit for logging, for me.

How did the DMV miss this one?

I have this: I told the DMV that it means "Fun Viper". Obviously.

    Air / Fuel gauge

I use a Dynojet Wideband 2 in my Challenger, with their configurable LCD display/logger. I love being able to read digital A/F gauge heads-up at WOT, mid-pass... Rich

Cheap, reliable 18" rear wheel for drag radials?

I dunno if they make a wheel sized appropriately for Viper fitment, but I really like CCW. I have a set of their Classics with MT ET Streets for drag wheels on my Challenger. Rich

    Lambo Crash Here In Illinois

I'm thinking that, similarly provoked and mishandled, a Viper would've safely performed a complete 360 instead of veering into oncoming traffic. ;) I give the video car occupants credit for pausing a beat prior to breaking out in laughter. There's that "I can NOT believe he did that"...

ROE Owners... School Me on Air Fuel Ratio's

VERY interesting points above regarding the effect of MeOH spray on apparent AFR post-combustion. I need to meditate on that. Logging knock retard would give you an idea of whether increasing fuel has moved you into your optimum combustion AFR, regardless of what the widebands are telling...

Is that confirmed? I'd read that it was "later this summer"... I'd love to see them at Seca this year.

    Stripes??

The killer paint is the two-tone work done for the GST-R, really highlighting the new hood's shape. Ideally, stripes would be available for those that like the more retro/classic look... and two-tone GTS-R-style paint for drivers that prefer an updated visual.

    Clear Bra Owners

Viper Tax! I look at the bra on my car and think: "how'd they do that?" So many curves, cutouts, etc. Opportunities for ripping, bubbling, mis-aligning. It's all I can do to properly orient a protective film on an iPhone screen; I'd never try a car. Good luck... perhaps there's a Viper...
