What does it matter what "Viper Enthusiasts" think anyway? They didn't buy the Gen IV in large numbers and they didn't buy the Gen V in large numbers (As ralph stated, over 60% were to new customers)
So what does it matter what they re-image the car as? People can't upgrade will continue to...
But you can get them for steal prices now and they still aren't flying. So, the price argument isn't really all it is cracked up to be. That is, unless, all the desirable combos have been scooped up.
What amazes me, as I've said elsewhere - is that people can rehash and make the same complaints for almost two years straight now. Don't you all have anything better to do? I mean, how many times can people bring up the launch of the car as a complaint? Ralph even acknowledged it all himself as...
They can drop 900 from it, open up the PCM, and people will still find something to complain about justifying not to buy it.
Same old song and dance. Now a 4300# pig has more power people are upset. Lol.
Honestly, I did like the peace of mind of the vehicle being under warranty still. For that kind of change, it always makes me a bit nervous to drive something older (I mean that Gallardo is 8 years old now)
While they weren't the most vocal before, they have gotten really quiet since the restructuring. We shall see what happens now that CAAP is open again. Makes sense not much is being said (even by our favorite loudmouth Ralph)
I mean it all depends what you need in a car.
Last year a two seater was fine. Now, just a Viper wouldn't work due to having an infant.
No child? Go for it. IMHO the car is very livable. In FL I think you'll be all right with the "attention" - if Naples is anything like Boca, a Viper won't...
I DD my Gen V SRT - well as much as I can. I don't drive it in the rain (or try not to) simply because i hate having to do a deep wash on it. But, I have driven it in it and it is just fine in it.
Comfort? You get used to it. It isn't bad at all in reality. The hardest part is getting in and...
While the V10 is a great engine, to me it by in no way defines the Viper.
Top notch performance does. If a better engine design is out there, use it. End of story.
You didn't say "a base" you said "the base" which is indicative of all cars.
You are being openly mocked by everyone because everyone knows you've been talking about the average price for a Gen V the entire time.
No one here has said it can't happen that a single car goes for $59,999 - because...
