I have read of several VCA members that have put trailer hitches on their cars in order to bring race tires to the track over the years. Of course, it is mainly the hardcore viper enthusiasts wanting to get the most performance that they can get out of their car without investing in a trailer...
I don't remember reading of a Gen V with a hitch yet; but, I have seen a guy in Southern California that pulls his tire trailer with his Gen 3 or Gen 4. I don't know how much the frame design differs in the Gen V. I'm sure that it looks a little weird to a non-track guy; but, I think that it...
It sounds like you did some good work tracing down the history of this car.
Did the current selling dealer tell you this info, or possibly the dealership where the engine replacement was done? I'm interested because I know that this is not the only car with a replaced engine, and am wondering...
I just did some searching knowing that the NV4500 trans used Syntorq, and came up with this page, discussing a good substitute. NV4500 Manual Transmission Oil
After reading through it, it appears that they are repackaging Redline MT-85 which specifically says that it is a replacement for the...
Their is no reason to go to larger wheels except for your personal preference for aesthetics, or because used OEM Gen III wheels are relatively inexpensive.
If you are going to do many road course events, I would suggest not using the ACR BBS wheels. The reason is only that you subject them to...
Have you tried the GM part number also? ( Mopar is 4874459 and from GM as 12346190 according to Tom F&L GoR)
However, I'd guess that if you are saying the Mopar version has been discontinued, the GM would be also.
If the mounts are installed correctly, then I guess that there is a possibility that they are the wrong part, or possibly made wrong (too thick). That seems a very remote possibility; but, I know of another Dodge OEM part (upper radiator hose) which was produced incorrectly in a later...
That has got to be the worst attempt at a scam that I have heard. Kelley Blue Book isn't even the sort of company that would do that. I am really surprised that the person's English was as good as it was.
Stryker red is a very striking color, seen in person, out in the wild !

If I look at the gap between the stripes and the badge on the nose, and between the stripes and the fender vents in those two pictures, they appear to be the same. I ave never read about them ever being changed. And, yes, I have seen a picture of a GTS with wide stripes that a guy put on. He...
I realize that this isn't a Gen II; but, if you are just wanting to get a fresh idea of what the color combo looks like, this may do. I think that it looks great on the Gen V and would on the Gen II also. Personally, I think that it is a better idea to do it in vinyl than permanently changing...
I have been following the internet posts on engine failures and recalls. I only remember reading of one 2015 engine failure reported. I am also in the market for a Gen V. Now that the recalls are in place, I have no issue with buying a 2013 or 2014 at all. The only part that is hard to judge...
The ride height should be about 1/2 in lower in front versus the rear in order to keep the designed handling characteristics. (Per Mark Jorgensen and the service manual.) Not that something else wouldn't work for individual driving conditions.
Brain fart??????? Search out the multitude of posts there are about overheating problems on Gen II with electric fans, versus a tiny amount on the Gen 3 with hydraulic fans. They move a LOT more air.
