Part No. required - Plug Wire Clips

Ken, Thanks a lot for your offer. Actually, I have the '98 parts catalog as PDF and I looked it up and I didn't find it. Now I looked again and guess what: I found it in figure 8-1905. Obviously, I overlooked it before. And it looks exactly like the ones I need. I did fix the broken ones with...

Part No. required - Plug Wire Clips

Greetings! I noticed 2 broken plug wire clips (see pic) and have been searching for the part number in the official parts list for a 98 Viper. Without success. Does anyone have the part number and know, if this is a Viper specific part? Thanks. Holger

    So I bought Woodhouse mounts.........

Thanks to all for your tips! However, seems now that it is not an as easy job as I thought before  Maybe I do it when I install the Corsa system (planned for next spring), seems to make some sense now after reading your responses :smirk: When you jack the engine, how about the...

    Enamel Engine RT/10 or GTS?

Holy sh...., Jürgen.... :omg: I read somewhere, that enamal can only withstand up to 500 hp. Since you are going for more than that, you should rethink this! PS: I am only kidding, have no clou.... Holger

I have had enough with these battery/charging system issues

This device is definitively just a switch. It will not give you any codes whatsoever. It won't tell you the source of the draw either. You will have to use an ampmeter to measure the parasitic current and then, as mentioned, start your hunt. Holger

    So I bought Woodhouse mounts.........

Need to ask: what exactly is the "cowl" you are mentioning? I have ordered OEM motor mounts from VPA as I have read that these mounts age over the years and are likely to be broken in a 14 year old car... Any other tips for replacing them are greatly appreciated (I do have a lift available...

Solution to fix popping Gen2 factory subwoofer

Good advise, thanks! I am also thinking to replace mine, which is already an aftermarket one (Sony). But still have the stock grill installed, so I believe that stock grill works with the majority of aftermarket speakers. Holger

New floor mats for my 98 RT/10 (pics)

Yeah, I also thought about how to protect the logos because it kind of hurts myself, "kicking" Sneaky Pete all the time :) But since the car is anyway my "Sunday Driver" and only driven in nice weather (of course, no muddy shoes allowed :nono:) I did not do anything else than hoping that...

New floor mats for my 98 RT/10 (pics)

I finally managed to install my new mats. They really fit very well and tight. However, they seem to be a bit too long as they overlap a little bit with the seat rail. This will also make it difficult to use the clips (if you really want). On the other hand, the clips are really not needed, the...

    Found the frame VIN

For those of you who were looking for the frame VIN without success (like myself until today ;-)): You can see the VIN stamped in the upper right frame rail if you look between the radiator and the right head light (passenger side). There you can see the upper frame rail and if it's not too...

New floor mats for my 98 RT/10 (pics)

As promised, here's now a shot of the clips. I really hope, that they are not necessary, they look scary :omg: Holger PS: Mats still not installed :doh2:

New floor mats for my 98 RT/10 (pics)

Mike, yes, the mats come with clips. I forgot to mention that. Will make a pic of them so you can have a look. However, I don't plan to install them since it seems that you have to somehow cut/drill into the carpet, which I don't want. At the moment, I assume that it won't be necessary to fix...

New floor mats for my 98 RT/10 (pics)

Matt, unfortunately, I don't have both :( (I wish I would, maybe one day....). When I signed up at the VCA forum I was still on the hunt for my first Viper and I was always looking for a GTS. However, sometimes things turn out differently than intitially thought :smirk: so when I went to see...

    Fluids for 98 RT/10

That's really interesting! I have read somewhere, that they did a switch from Dexron III to Syntorq over the course of the 98 production year. My 98 RT/10 was put together in November of that year and it had a factory sticker on the tranny stating Syntorq as the factory fill and no other fluid...

New floor mats for my 98 RT/10 (pics)

I just received my new floor mats that I ordered at autoanything.com. I went for Lloyd's Ultimats with the logos in silver. I think that will match perfectly my silver '98 RT/10 ;) I have not yet installed them but I am sure they will look awesome in the car  As for the quality, these...

    Fluids for 98 RT/10

Please ask the WIZARD, what grease they use/recommend when it comes to lubricate the ball joints of the suspension. That is something I still have not figured out yet. Maybe one can use any kind of wheel bearing or chassis grease but I am curious to hear, what product they use at Tators!? Thanks!

    Fluids for 98 RT/10

Ah, same question(s) I had just a few months ago (am a Viper owner for the very first time, owning a '98 RT/10 like you :).....mine is silver, what's yours?), so welcome!! I also did quite some research and ended up in going for the factory Mopar fluids. Brake and clutch Mopar DOT4, steering...

What are these holes good for?

Wow, that makes sense! Didn't know about that canadian feature. Thanks for that quick answer. I was thinking to post this question since quite some time. When I discovered the holes for the first time, I thought that the previous owner installed something and the car may not have been stock...

What are these holes good for?

Well, most likely this question has been raised already but I couldn't find an answer to it just by using the search function... I also have to apologize for not having a picture at hand showing EXACTLY what I mean, so I'll try to describe it using the one below. In the picture...
