    Skip Shift Indicator

This feature was implemented for emission reduction purposes AFAIK. It was pretty anoying to me so I installed a skip shift eliminator very soon after I got my car (which happens to be a silver '98 RT/10, too).

For the Stereo Buffs among You...

Did a test installation of the final setup today to verify, if everything fits and works as intended. Man, there's really a lot of wiring involved :omg: The "clean-up" effect isn't really visible at the moment, but I am getting there...:smirk: I think, once I have routed all cables properly...

For the Stereo Buffs among You...

Just a Little bit of an update here... I am working on getting the mess in the trunk cleaned up. In addition, I was thinking about where to mount the 3 amps I have so that it looks nice and clean? This is the plan: Amp #1 (Rainbow Beat 4, 4 channels bridged into 2 channels for the...

Question on Exhaust manifold outlet size?

Stock manifold pipe is 2,5" so you will need to create a transition to 3". Actually, I did the same as you are doing and I used the 3" HF cats as the transition from 2,5" to 3". BTW: Go and get the Service Manual :smirk:

Finished the passenger door, too, and installed the panels. Here's what it looks on the driver's side: Luckily, the grilles don't touch the lower part of the dashboard (knee bolster?), there's not much room left, however :smirk: The sound is just great, when sitting in a parking...

    Audio question RT/10

I don't think it will overdrive the speaker in terms of power. However, as the 2 rear channels of the amp are bridged in the roadster, the load the amp "sees" is reduced to 2 ohms. So, the question is more, if the amp is capable of handling such a low load. This, unfortunately, I don't know ;-(

For the Stereo Buffs among You...

A little bit of an update here.... First, I'd like to show my old school head unit installed, the Sony CDX-C910...(sorry for the bad picture, did it with my phone in the garage) Then I finished the installation of the Alpine SPX-177R in the driver's door. Although I thought, that this...

For the Stereo Buffs among You...

Today I installed the subwoofer. The difference in sound quality is amazing (what I expected though) as there is just too much low end missing with the stock system. HOWEVER, when driving (without a top), the difference is all gone (more or less). I almost expected that too but I had a little...

Any tips for visiting LA in October?

@Warren: thanks and can you believe, I have never been to the original Octoberfest in Munich! Nice idea to visit yours on a Sunday (we'll fly into LAX on Saturday afternoon) @Allen: actually, I took your comments as a special kind of humor. It goes without saying, that in all bigger cities...

Cheaper alternative for oil drain plug washer

I feel bad for those who had to make such kinds of experiences. That's why I hope I will never have to give the car to someone whom I don't know or trust. I did my first oil change in my tiny garage, just with a floor jack. I had to buy a special bowl which can hold the 8 Liters of oil and is...

Thanks! Initially, I was looking for those tubes in a black finish but couldn't find them in the size needed. Then I thought, I paint them black by myself. But now, I am not sure anymore as it doesn't look that bad in silver/steel either :)

Okay, I have searched now I'm asking, Re: rear subwoofer

I don't have the OEM Speaker installed but I think, that it was mounted in the same way as my aftermarket woofer, means you can just Pop off the grille to Access the screws that hold the woofer in place. Sorry to disappoint you regarding the smartness of Dodge :smirk:
