    640hp more than enough on the street, which is where most of them will be. That 650hp bulky Mustang will never keep up with a Viper on a track. Wonder what size tires the Rustang will have? I can't believe that will hook up without traction control on full force.

    I see that SRT is now using Pirelli tires and Pennzoil for the Viper. Looks like Mobil and Michellin lost the bid. Don't most people on here hate Pirelli's? Were you surprised at the change. Not surprised by Pennzoil as it is the sponsor for the Viper Cup series.

    They did not make it as far up the ladder at Chrysler with thin skin. They most likely take the critics issues and use them later to their benefit. I would suspect that in the next couple years you will see a supercharged version of the Viper... Remember when the new (retro style) Mustang...

    Nice post. Nice comparison pics. Gen 5 all the way. I would say, though, that my first mod would be to paint the grill cross hairs the color of the car. It would be interesting to have a photoshop expert do that for us.

Your views show the Viper from a "fly-over" angle and that cannot be compared to striaght on eye-level front. There are no pictures of the Viper...

    Conclusion: In general it seems if you are a Gen 2 lover you love it; if you are a Gen 3/4 lover it's ok but not great.
