Great cars!
If you do not mind my asking, where are you using 700rwph on your rides? The roadrace tracks are generally not long enough for that, and you will get serious heat-soak problems with the FGT even stock. (I do not know about the supercharged Viper). One of my clients is a serious...
Big thanks to Dan at Viper Specialty Performance for getting me the RB1 and iPod adapter AND for walking the confused Viper Tech though some of the hook up.
I have not figured out all functions yet, but the nav works great and so does the iPod!!
They ended up putting the iPod in the glove...
Any idea what the ballpark cost should be for Dealer installation of driver and passenger Team Tech 6-point belts and related hardware? It requires no drilling, just lifting of carpet to find 2 bolt-in screws on the floor, anchoring the belts behind the seat in the factory areas and routing of...
Jon B. sold me the system, and he said the only thing I would need to change would be the CATS.
I really doubt I will add headers because of resonance/drone (they will definitely have it). Those of you with headers will probably use 5th gear for highway crusing rather than 6th gear for...
I decided to go with the 3" Corsa Track System and High flow metal cats. The corsas will work with Belangers if I ever decide to add headers. It should arrive next week.
I am not a big fan of the stock exhaust note on my '08. Of course my C6Z with headers sounded very evil!
I just purchased the Corsa 3" system for my '08 plus High Flow 3" metal cats. They arrive next week.
Supposedly no CEL and can later add headers if I so elect.
With an iPod adapter the CD becomes obsolete. My iPod has 1600 songs.
For nav., I just use point A to point B so some of the super-trick functions of the new unit are great, but not ones I would use. The aftermarket portable units are very nice and portable, but you do have something...
I have driven the Ford GT and own a 2008 Viper Coupe. Snake is faster. 0-60 is a somewhat irrelevant test for the reasons stated above.
My headers, intake and tune C6Z was faster than the FGT.
The FGT also has serious heat-soak problems at HPDEs. (One of my clients owns 2 FGTs and...
OK, triple-confirmed with dealer that no gas blew out from exhaust. The gas was below the exhaust because a fuel line connector failed. It was a quick fix and everything appears to be great!
Thank you again for your effort and expertise--it is always good to be careful!
Ahh...I believe the gas fell on the ground from the bad fitting and was not blown through the exhaust on that side. The gas just landed in that area. When the car was flat--bedded back to the Dealer on Saturday the Viper Tech was still there, and he said he knew exactly what it was--that a...
I notice that our cars have what look like tie-down knobs at the top of the rear cargo area toward the headrests.
Is there any type of rear cargo cover that hooks up in the area so that your luggage is not visible from through rear hatch? Might also keep any luggage cooler as well.
I did...
The Dealer has told me twice that it was a simple connector issue and I have no reason to doubt this. Car runs great and the same before an after.
The fix took a very short time once they got under the car to fix the connector.
While I appreciate the insights, at this time I do not plan...
Very nice gains!
I am hugely anti-resonance so I am going to see how things go until I can actually ride in some '08s with headers.
Sounds like a good package though! Thanks again for the information.
If you have a chance, I am also interested in the following on the Belanger header installs:
1. If high-flow cats were installed? (I will need these).
2. Was heat greater or less with the Headers?
3. How is the overall noise level? Stock the car is prettly loud in the cabin.
4. Is...
Looks like the only pseudo solution is to install a 1" seat lowering kit in an attempt to make the Visor actually useful. Really a bad design and only usable when parked or at stop lights when the car is not moving.
Does anyone make a good replacement for the factory sun visors on the '08 Coupes? My 2 concerns are:
1. Cannot see out of the car when I actually use the visor to block sun; and
2. The Visor will not swivel to the side to block side sun.
[Yes, I did "search" and found mostly posts...
