So does that mean we're on for our steak dinner bet?? And like I said, nothing would make me happier than losing the bet and you get your car back in a timely manner and to your satisfaction. Of course, I will require a ride in the new powered beast when I pay up :headbang:
Cheers,
George
Real Estate is easy as there are laws and cases on the books...also cases with loss rental income, failure to perform, etc. etc. There is a lot of precedent there to draw from.
In the tuner world they have your car (can't walk away easily with real estate and lock it behind closed doors). If...
Unfortunately this is a total waste of a nice car....why would you need 750 hp and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for a performance car that can only do maybe 25 to 30 laps on a 3 mile race track at "high performance" driving speeds before the battery is dead. I know the technology is...
Today is April 12th, figure if it ships out in a week they get the car by May 1st. Honestly, if you get your car back by July 4th, I'd be surprised.
If you want anything guaranteed, you need it in writing with financial penalties if they are late. If it's not in writing, don't expect any...
For those on the West Coast, another 1/2 mile roll race is taking place on May 4th. I was impressed by the organization of the last event. They had porta potties with water to wash up, 3 different food vendors and a good crew to keep everything moving. Also had full EMT staff, ambulance, etc...
Nice runs, looks like a cool venue.
I did a half mile shootout last month in Shafter, Ca. I was hitting 160 mph at the half mile mark. Best speeds came with a 50 mph start at the roll. (drivers agreed before each run either 40 or 50 mph start) I ran the stock PS2's. My 3.55's slowed me down...
One of the best things you can do is put a qualified instructor in the drivers seat and ride along with him. Having an instructor drive you around the track then sitting next to you will put you miles ahead of where you are today. It will show you how fast your car can actually go safely and...
Good question, but who knows when and exactly what the ACR will have (assuming there will be an ACR). Until I see the final specs on a Gen 5 ACR, who knows what they will be able to do and come up with. The key is the engine. I'm guessing to keep the car NA and hit 740 hp would cost a small...
Did you ever think the dealer does not actually want to sell it yet?.....it is eye candy for the showroom and helps make emotions high when customers come in (even if only in the market for a mini van).
If somebody does offer a chunk over MSRP, then they would sell it and the added profit...
One of the problems the first ACR had at the Ring was head winds and not the right gearing. The driver had to stay in 4th gear for a lot longer than he should have since shifting into 5th would bog the car down big time. It still set the record, but there was a lot more left.
The Gen 5 has...
Paul Normandin is a class act.
But, the day somebody tells me what I can sell a car for is the day I move to North Korea. Dealers should be able to sell what they want for how much they want. In the free market the price will be what it is worth in the eyes of the buyer. For those too stupid...
Fantastic vid, good info on the Sport Cups.
So, a set of sticky tires, a more performance alignment and perfect track conditions at Laguna Seca (which is very difficult to get, but it can happen), a high 1:29 lap time seems very possible.
Oh boy, I'm guessing a bunch of Vette guys are...
But 23.5k of the posts are NSW.....and for that, we thank you :2tu::2tu::2tu::headbang::headbang::headbang::2tu::2tu::2tu::usa::usa::usa::usa::usa: :D

What about the twin turbo cappuccino machine in Arrows break room, why is this not being discussed?? Will this be offered through Mopar or will the aftermarket be able to offer an unlocked version that can be upgraded to maybe a supercharger and twin turbo combination? Will it run on 110 volt or...
"That message was very clear. If a performance car is not profitable, it will not be allowed to be produced. It suggested that the idea of a pure loss leading halo car is a thing of the past and has been tossed on the scrap heap of automotive management history."
Bob,
If this is the...
I think I recalled the TA had the suspension option of "rough track" and "smooth track" settings. I read that to mean on smooth track the car is lowered and optimized for cornering. Add to that a very good performance alignment, a little better brake upgrade and in the hands of a pro driver like...
The aero on the ACR is unlike any other street car. The GTS already dynos more than the ZR1 so people can't complain there's a power issue. Of course more power will automatically help. The aero on the ACR makes the biggest difference. What do you think would happen if the ZR1 had an equivalent...
You're right, the Viper would be catching up and by the 4th lap pass the ZR1 because it would start to get heat soaked.....you'd have a better chance of staying in the race with a Z06 and big aero. In my world, laps only matter if I can do more than a couple at a time.
Cheers,
George (aka TA)
Well BAD, at some level companies have to grow a set of balls and decide if they are going to be the lead sled dog or have the same view as the other dogs behind the leader.
It is called INVESTMENT....without it companies flounder. Remember the Lamborghini Countach?....it was way over the...
Just got done watching the show "Viper: Soul Survivor" and really enjoyed it.
During the interviews, they one thing that caught my attention was an engineer from Zytek Automotive from the UK. He was in charge of calibrating the engine management system for the GTS-R and or Gen 5 IIRC...
