I think I see an SRT decal on the rear wing that might be salvageable....:smirk:

This is very cool,....does Lee at Arrow have a tuning solution for being able to do a head and cam package in the works?? I'm not into FI, but man would I love a lopey cammed Gen 4 :2tu: If anybody has the answers to the tuning, I would think it is Lee and crew since they have done so many...
Is the car that Ben was driving the one being sold by Dodge for around $450K?
If so, I wonder if other units they have built are prone to the same potential issue due to a manufacturing or assembly flaw. Ben is lucky to not get seriously burned as he was standing in the fuel fire...very scary...
Just got an email from the boys at Omega Motorsport. They are putting on a two day 1/2 mile roll racing event the weekend of March 29th and 30th. I've done their events in the past and they are very well run with lots of amenities (food vendors on site, race fuel on site, and my wife's favorite...
I think you nailed a good portion of the issues....bad marketing, bad promotion and bad public image of the car in the press. This did not help sales in the least. Money is not the issue. If the car is desirable and a hot commodity it will sell, even if it is a "Dodge", lol. The economy is not...
I know for a fact that SRT worked with BBG on the development of the BBG clutch for the Gen 5 for those that want to upgrade. The stock Gen 4 clutch isn't much better and BBG designed the unit that replaced every ACR-X race car with his clutch for those in the race series. Even when my Gen 4...
Oh trust me I have....but I assume "they" would want me to buy a Chrysler product which I did not. I'm not happy with the current Chrysler offering (Gen 5 Viper) so I've bought and spent $$$ with other manufacturers. I'm sure nobody else thinks like I do, lol.
Cheers,
George
That makes sense.......what also makes sense is I'm not getting any younger. I'm done waiting on Viper rumors and failed timeline promises. I'm spending my money with manufacturers that actually have something to offer me now regarding all my new car purchases.
You either build a world...
Mike,
I would have done both the Buttonwillow and the Willow event but I have to leave from Buttonwillow to Vegas for work that following week. This work thing is starting to get in the way of my track time, lol.
Have fun at Willow!!
Cheers,
Geoge
For those wanting to track their Viper or other track toy, Omega Motorsport is putting on a private track day rental at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on February 28th. The event is limited to 25 cars and costs $275.00 per car. This means you can have multiple drivers per one car if you want. I've...
I did not realize that the VPA was moving to the Dallas, Texas area. Even though the market might be hot and in demand, you guys have it made with square footage costs like these, bargains compared to California prices:

Jesus....I wish I had never brought the correlation of a cars looks to the beauty of a woman.
I was talking about why I would buy a car.....not a human, hello?? First impressions of beauty in deciding to pick a car, not a lifelong relationship and having to make babies together :baby...
Life is very short. The answer as to which car to pick is very easy. Use your first impressions and pick a car as you'd pick a women. Call me shallow, but I always look at beauty first. I've always picked my cars like that and have never had one regret. Between a C7 and Gen 5, pick the one that...
Re: Driving TA on street P-Zeros for road trips to distant tracks, and spare brake pa
At a bare minimum, for those that track hard and often a dedicated set of track rims/tires is a must. I've seen a couple of cars get damaged tires at track events and with no spare, what do you do on a Sunday...
If the trucks were allowed to join the VCA, would they have to supply a VIN like the Viper owners do? Now I'm kind of confused....as hard as ViperJeff worked to implement the Viper Trucks into the VCA, I thought he presently owned a truck so he could join :dunno:
It looks like the...
Capt Van,
As great as your Gen 5 and ZR1 look and perform, that C2's shape and lines will give any car a run for their money in the looks and style dept!!
Very nice collection:2tu::2tu:
Cheers,
George
Bob,
That is the actual track kit that the top end Z06 will come with. The front splitter and side vertical dams with Gurney wheel well extensions might not even matter at the drag strip from a increased drag point of view. On the rear, IMO SRT should have had a center plexiglass piece that is...
I highly recommend you buy a new battery. If original, yours is probably at least 7 years old now, has been discharged (this internally damages the battery) and is needing to push power all the way from the back of the car to the front which makes any flaws in the battery that much more of an...
You are 100% correct. Once you've driven a "real" race car, every street car either stock or modified for the track shows its limitations. I've got a street Mustang modified for dedicated track use. After this year, I might just sell it and look for something like a Panoz. IMO, this would cost...
It does match the GM "Z06 Supercharged" picture regarding the fender lip flare and front splitter design that drops down vertically in front of the tire.
Hmmm, although it looks like a loose artists conception of what it might be, I do think the rear spoiler is the type that GM would...
Venom V,
Your bring up a good point on doing the windshield. Since many on the track from $3500.00 rice rockets to exotics are using R-compound tires, the windshield takes a lot of hits from stones and grit getting thrown up at the track. I wish I had a windshield clear bra option when I did...
An enclosed trailer makes life very comfortable when tracking your car. Getting the car in or out is super easy if you use an electric winch. Loading and unloading a Viper becomes a stress free one man job with a winch.
I wish I had bought an enclosed trailer years ago....best "racing"...
