    Twin Turbo Pistons

Do a search on this forum for "spun rod bearing". #3 comes up all the time. It is the oiling. and the stock oil pump stinks. I'll give you a dollar if you call me Joseph instead of Joe.

    Twin Turbo Pistons

The crank can be machined depending on how much damage there is. .020 or .030 is pretty normal for crank cleanup. On this coast out here it is just a few hundred $$$'s to clean it up. stock oiling system stinks. the only other choice is a dry-sump (for the most part). expect to spend 4k +...

    Twin Turbo Pistons

N/A, even my stock ported intake crapped out at 5800rpm. Engine dyno proven! It is all about the combination and not just slapping parts together. Plan it all out (bore, stroke, gasket thickness, cc's of the heads, pistons, etc...) And then you should be fine. On the other hand, it sounds...

And the color of the smoke is......... ??????? You are rich as hell. And your VEC tune is wrong.

    Twin Turbo Pistons

This is a personal preference. The shop manual says to pull them together. the back tranny bolts are a PITA to get to, so it is definitely easier if you have the space to get the entire thing out. RE: revving the motor higher: you will need a dry sump and solid lifters. I've only seen one...

Easy fix. You know where I live. There is a temp correction we can easily fix. Might even make it still run in winter too!

    Tips for paxton pulley change?

45-50 ft/lbs on the pulley bolt. Don't damage the SC housing. pry gently. I have been known to use box-wrenches and just slowly pry up. Putting the new one on be careful not to bust the seal (ie: don't use a hammer). good luck!

questions for those with a 510 stroker

Running with a ROE, you have selected a compression ratio which is a bit lathargic. But the compression ratio only accounts for missing 3-5% of your power. The tune could be off a bit. Temps, etc... Play a part. I would expect a motor like yours to make 620-650 at the tires. You are...

WTB: GTS Gen2 Diamondback Hood & Aeroform Le Mans, Bumper.....

You'll note that he speculated on the weight. he said it might be his next purchase. These hoods are so well made that they have tons of material. Lighter is NOT what they are, however...:dunno:

Open trailering a GTS..w/ car cover???

Worse, the cover goes flying and the dude behind you wrecks causing a 10-car pile-up on the interstate. If you do run a cover, install a camera on the back of the GTS... when it flies off, capture the carnage.

WTB: GTS Gen2 Diamondback Hood & Aeroform Le Mans, Bumper.....

The original diamondback is no such thing. So confirmation of the new one's weight would be quite cool.

WTB: GTS Gen2 Diamondback Hood & Aeroform Le Mans, Bumper.....

So back on topic, does anyone (Michael Nouri, perhaps, since you have a new super-special one) have any idea how much the old diamond back weighs vs. the new one? The old one was heavier than the stocker. The new one... i'd love to hear about. Thanks!

I hate it when this happens. It sometimes takes WEEKS for the system to reset itself. Fortunately there are other ways to address this. PM sent!

WTB: GTS Gen2 Diamondback Hood & Aeroform Le Mans, Bumper.....

The Diamondback hood is made by hand by Roger @ US Exotics. do a SEARCH on this site for postings by him, contact info, examples of his work, etc. Here's a good link to check out the hood: http://forums.viperclub.org/rt-10-gts-discussions/601598-diamondback-roe-comes-alive.html XVipers...

WTB: GTS Gen2 Diamondback Hood & Aeroform Le Mans, Bumper.....

Michael - Since when are they sold exclusively through you? You have an exclusive deal w/ Roger? I bought mine direct so I'm wondering if now i'd have to buy the next one through you? :dunno: Or is that just marketing? maybe the better question is: how does the one built specifically...

Any Viper Tech Experts in the Atlanta Area

Guys - While I appreciate the props, I haven't really got time to do anything car related these days. Business is good and daughter is growing. I barely have time to change my own oil let alone work on other people's cars. Go to Tony for performance stuff and Ringgold for dealership stuff...

    VEC3 keeps frying!!! HELP!

Injector clips were recently replaced... And the problem is always on the same side of the motor. Definitely sounds like a short, but what would make the VEC fry but not a stock PCM? SCT is probably the way to go... At least it will mask the problem for now and get you on the road!

    Coil Pack Giving Up?

Let's not forget that the car has an AEM on it. There may be info in the data-log that will help you figure out the problem. It isn't the crank position sensor or the cam position sensor most likely. coil packs are easy to test, so you can get /borrow a replacement set. we've been talking...

Engine pops and bucks above 3000rpm

I used to have the opposite issue... but I'd change the girlfriend at every problem. :crazy2: Listen to JonB... find the root cause of the problem, else you'll be back at square-1 sooner than you'd like. Is it possible to buy a used <anything> without inheriting someone else's problem...
