I believe its Viper Specialty that sells cloned TPMS sensors. So the answer to your question is yes. They need the codes off of your original OEM sensors and they will program new sensors with the codes.
The ACR wing is expensive unless you find one used on Fleabay. You might also check with JonB, PM me if you need his phone number. The ACR wing is wind tunnel tested and creates a lot of down force. It coupled with the front splitter is capable of generating over 1000 pounds of down force...
A trick that some Mustang owners use is to take the original OEM TPMS sensors and place them in a plastic pipe to which they screw end caps on. On one end they install a valve stem for a tire (screw on type) and then they "inflate" the tube to proper pressure. Then they place the tube...
Common on Gen 3/4's when driven hard. Under deceleration oil moves forward in valve cover and makes its way in to make up air tube (the one that goes from the valve cover to the airbox) and into airbox. Engine sucks oil vapor with air. Catch can should definitely solve the problem. If you...
Nice video but I wish you also had an in car camera to show your steering inputs. Agree 100% with you though that smooth is everything. When I've driven with a friend of mine who is an outstanding driver (he's won the Cannonball One Lap of America twice outright) it is amazing how smooth his...
Thanks for posting. Been there done that. This video illustrates what I had said in one of my previous posts. Initial reaction is "I got this" and then, because we aren't pros, this turns quickly into "I don't got this". As you can see its hard to get both feet in fast enough to keep the car...
Here's two more colors for you. Viper Bright Blue with silver stripes (looks amazing in person) and GTS Blue with white stripes (classic color combo and offered in many years, car pictured happens to be an 06)
Best thing to do is go to a driving school. The book referenced above "Going Faster" is very good it describes in detail what Skip Barber teaches in his school. However, there is NO replacement for seat time. I would seriously recommend going to a school with a skid pad session. You can then...
Ok, only two things to say:
1. As others have said "both feet in" except that this sounds easier than it really is. Your tendency is to try to save it even when it is not saveable. This means that by the time you put both feet in, it may be too late unless your reactions are very good...
The window regulator for the smart glass feature works on resistance, or so I've been told by a very experienced Viper Tech. When it senses the appropriate resistance the window stops going up. This is how the Viper smart glass knows to stop going up when it encounters the window...
Venom Red is very nice color. I wanted an ACR in that color but missed it by a day. Viper Bright Blue is the best color IMO. I have an 08 Vert in VBB with silver stripes and I get more compliments on it than any other car I've ever had. Paid $73K brand spanking new. Of course that was right...
There have been cases where the pins have come out, not sure if it was due to wear or improper installation. If that happens the pads can go shooting through the top of the fender. JonB at PartsRack used to sell (not sure if he still does) modified pins that have a locking mechanism. I think...
I ask this very question to a friend who is the Viper Vehicle Dynamics engineer. Here's what he said - "mounting it on a 10” wide wheel (a little narrow), and the steering response will likely be poor. It will also likely require more front negative camber or the car will push more."
