Hardtops for SRT-10\'s
What Hardtops are available for SRT-10's?
As far as I know, there is the Autoform hardtop that has been on the market forever and then there is the Vipermania hardtop which is less common...
Which of these are approved as a replacement to roll bar?
I guess the Autoform...
Re: \'06 SRT Coupe vs \'97 GTS...
Where is the 06 Z06?
Man, I'm jealous. You got an awesome garage. :headbang: :headbang:
You need to modify the SRT Coupe. :2tu: :2tu:
You are on. We'll do it once I get the beast back from Heffner. Is the RSI twin turbo a GEN 2 or GEN 3? You have a Lingenfelter C5 too? How much is that puppy putting down? :headbang:
I meant free in terms of inspections, regulations, number of runs, etc not money wise.
At Infenion (Sears Point) here, you need to go through a tech inspection. Then you dial in. You need to try to hit what you dial in. If you faster, you break your dial time and they kick you out. Your reaction...
Hey there.
RSI was one of the tuners I was considering to send my Viper to before I made my call on Heffner. Gerald and Jason at RSI are great people.
There's no top secret items in my car.  I just need to check with Heffner before I can give out details. I guess I...
UPDATE
My engine and bunch of other parts are out of the car. Ready to start the build.
My engine sure looks clean with only 1,000 miles.
I'll be selling all the stock parts that come out. If you are interested in 2005 Viper SRT-10 parts with 1,000 miles, please PM me.
Will it look something like the GEN 3 Dry Sump kit West Coast Viper offers?
It's an expensive mod but I might consider it depending on how the cost turns out..
I won't need a smog connection until 2010. In the smog hating state of Kalifornia, you don't need to smog your car for 5 years if you bought it brand new from the dealer.
Hopefully, by 2010 The Republic of Kalifornia will be a country on its own... :D :D
You hit it right on spot bro. As you've said there isn't many clutches out there that will hold 700 RWTQ or in my case much more than that
RPS is working on a triple carbon clutch but that won't be ready for at least 5-6 months and I've heard horror stories about RPS clutches...
Stock pistons are cast and they can't handle cylinder pressures over a certain limit. But that is not the only problem with them. Thay are the weakest link in the engine and you might blow a piston due to many reasons, even with much lower RWHP levels. Detonation is one of these reasons. Higher...
It seems like you hit this number on a stock block with Paxton, larger injectors, Corsa track exhaust. Stock short block, stock heads, stock cam, stock headers and standard Paxton pulley. Pretty impressive :2tu:
Keep in mind though at 700 + RWHP you are pushing the limits of the stock cast...
The beast was delivered to Heffner's shop at Sarasota this afternoon.
It's all theirs now.
It's gonna take some time before the beast will be completed but I'll keep you updated through this thread. :headbang: :headbang:
I've heard bad stories about McLeod on the alley. Definitely don't want to replace a $2,000 clutch every 400 miles.
What kind of clutch are the High HP guys using?
Which aluminum radiator are you talking about? The aluminum you see on the front of the black GTS is nothing but a huge intercooler. That car is twin turbo.
Nooooo.... The GT42R's are huge.  They won't fit anywhere in the engine bay and they won't be right for my application. I've yet to see any street driven car with twin GT42R or GT42RS.
Think a little smaller. Not much. Just a little smaller.... ;)
Oh this beast is going to hit the strip hard and mean. We'll see what it's capable of...
And a little secret, this is not going to be your general Heffner Twin Turbo. There is going to be lots of extras on this beast... :headbang: :headbang:
