What is considered normal oil consumption?

POLL: Viper owners have or getting a Z06 also ???
I have a 99 GTS and my wife and I have just ordered a Millenium yellow Z06 from a dealer in Alabama. I called many dealers and theoretically this dealer has some allocations coming up over the next few months. Interesting 99 ACR oil consumption...
I have almost 5000 miles on my 99 GTS. I was down approx 3/4 of a quart at 500 miles when I changed the oil for the first time. I changed oil again at 3200 miles and was down about a quart. NSX owners suggest not buying a Viper
The guys with the slower cars always say that they wanted comfort not speed. It just depends on what you want to drive within a very broad continuum. How about a nice Cadillac Deville? Viper Racing in Trans-Am in 2001
Sounds like a tube frame V8 powered race car with a Viper body. That's about as much Viper as the current 'Jaguar' is a Jaguar. I suppose the windshield will at least need to retain the stock profile. Still, the racing should be good. I've always enjoyed Trans Am. I just can't identify too...- Jim Hodel
