OK, not much help here, maybe I am asking the wrong forum....I know there are a lot of former vette owners on board, so what are the good vette forums?
Re: YELLOW FEVER IS ALIVE AND KICKIN !!
Jeff, that engine bay is a work of art! Hope to see you soon up here, you will love the mountain roads up here and lack of traffic. John
I agree, I prefer the viper too but to get the brakes and handling of a modded z06, you would have to spend a lot more money. I know that people say TT or SC'ed cars are harder to drive and I do not pretend to be a pro racer, I just love boost and the rush it provides and if the power transition...
I know of one for sale and was thinking it would be a good track car for the money. I know they weigh quite a bit less than the viper and owner claims 575rwhp. My guess is it will outperform a stock gen II on the track but wondering about modded cars? Not trying to stir the pot here, or...
Now, now boys, lets not fight. I love them both but the point about braking is one of the many reasons I will go for srt to replace my gen II. 60 to 0 is something like 40' less. Last time I checked, a lot of bad stuff can happen in 40'. Having a better suspension and a workable top makes up for...
Though I don't have my car yet,(soon) I know I would like to upgrade the suspension as one of my first mods. I think the coilovers that adjust for ride height, and rebound would be very helpful to this end. Additionally I am wondering how many srt owners have switched their run flats for...
On stock cars, both used, it seems to be about 5 or 6k. 03 used to 04 new will be about 10k. Since I know I will want headers, exh. and maybe rims, it seems like used 03 will work best for me. However, if there are any compelling reasons to go for 04 I will pony up.
So Dr Dave and Fred, besides...
Honing in on the right deal, but still considering 03 or 04. I am leaning toward 03 and using the extra money to mod it(a must, eh?) Anyway, i know there are some headlamp problems for some 03 and what else? Are all the problems that folks have had with their 03's been taken care of by DC? Any...
Have to agree with Joe, exhaust sound is one of the most subjective issues and one that gets huga attention on this and every board I belong to. Go to a place where you can listen to many of the types you are considering, and take a listen. But even then, it depends on what type of cats...
I think its very cool that each, imho, have their superior design points and yet both are totally badasss designs that distinguish themselves on any road. thanks all for the great pics. While we are at it, any silver side by side pics?
500, I just finalized my settlement yesterday. My company specifically states they do not cover diminished value but there were some pretty gray areas that we hassled over for weeks. End result, no go. I ended up taking the settlement and sold the car to an enthusiat that fixes wrecked vipers...
