Chuck is 100% on target!
If you think drilled or slotted rotor's make the car look like is "Cool" then satisfy your cosmetic need. If you have the need for speed, get the Stoptech system.
Almost forgot to include taking a Skip Barber Driving Performance School/Racing school to learn how...
The stock gears are very good unless you run with slicks.
Total waste of money unless you spend most of your time in very slow traffic.
Jack hit the nail on the head you will lose about .2 seconds per shift. Going to the lower ratio added one more shift. Worse on a road coarse adding more...
Check any wheels for weld bead on cast wheels. It the drum is welded to the spoke section. The weld is on the outer edge of the drum/inner edge of spoke section. Easy to see and feel between spokes. Cast wheels have no weld. I bought what where supposed to be 97" wheels from a dealer and...
Build quality of my 2003SRT10 is perfect.
Would be happy to park my Viper next to any Corvette, and let the experts compare fit and finish.
I have watched Vipers assembled and the panels painted and finished. These cars are finished as perfect as humanly possible.
flex...., suggest you take a Skip Barber performance driving school asap. To get a discount on the Skip Barber school join the VCA first.
Viper Days is a fantastic open track event. But I like the idea of learning car control first. AT Skip Barber they provide the cars.
Greetings, Viper Club members,
Get together for our monthly dinner and talk Vipers.
Last month, over 60 people came to dinner. Please join us for the March meeting next Tuesday, March 7th. Same place, Maggiano's in Santana Row, same time, 7 PM. (Directions are at norcal.viperclub.org.)...
Metals of different composition with react chemically due to varying electrical potential. This is what causes the GEN one side sills to corrode around the fasteners.
This link is an introduction to dissimilar metals reaction. http://www.corrosion-doctors.org/Definitions/galvanic-series.htm...
To bad it is not totally correct. The 1999 and 2000 have the same mileage rating. The weights are also the same.
And the 06 with 18" wheels.
Maurice Liang noticed the errors. He produced the "Viper Buyers Guide".
New drivers at Viper days go through a Viper Days driving school, that has class work to cover the basics of car control and track procedures and rules. Then an instructor rides along giving pointers.
Not sure who(Instructor, Courtney, Skip) makes the call but at some point you are on your on...

Your Local VCA should be able to help with locating a good Viper Tech.
17,000 on a 2000 is a low mileage car. Condition of cars should guide your choice. Use the "Viper Buyers Guide" to help make your choice. Have the care of choice inspected by a Certified Viper Tech as a condition of purchase. Replacing the tranny or major engine work can be very costly.
Love my Red QC. Mileage(9MPG in town - ~13 on the road @ 80-100MPH) is poor but with the fun factor who cares?
All the SRT models are for those who enjoy driving.
IMO every Viper enthusiast should read the Viper Buyers Guide by Maurice Liang. It is a must for potential buyers who want to know what they are buying and the differences between each year.

Have purchased: 96RT, 97GTS, 98GT2, 99ACR, 2003 SRT.
Go for the newest year and enjoy the improvements. Except if you are in love with a specific color.
NEW Value - Based on the Viper Club School Program, students completing this one day school satisfy the perquisites for Car Control.
Car Control is an advanced program that has a perquisite of the Two Day Driving School or Three Day Racing School.
I favor the stock 3:07 gears, As there is no reason to switch to a lower gear combo. Put 3:55's in my 97 GTS, the additional shifting on road courses was a real pain. It was also harder to keep the car balanced (shifting in turns is not a good idea to go fast). The longer gears make very good...
