Anybody know how to remove the lower seat cushion on a Gen II? I want to check the tubing for the lumbar support, but would rather not pull the whole seat out. I checked the service manual and searched on the site, but can't seem to find Gen II info.
172 on the GPS on my CBR1000RR (crotch rocket). Haven't gotten more than 135 in my Gen II (indicated) at this point, but will take care of that soon. The bike had a LOT more left, but the balls shrunk up!:rolaugh:
HELLO? Welcome to a race car that is street legal! The air system is in the engine compartment and gets hot along with everything else. Run you A/C to cool down the vents and then go to 'outside' air ... usually works for me here in Texas. Plus, both windows down for 10-15 minutes when you...
Any decent Hydraulics shop should be able to fabricate a line that will solve you problem. Being in Texas, there are LOTS of them around to cover the oil industry. Look up Hydraulic Fittings in the yellow pages.
That's why the center-back storage is THERE! ... to catch what you shouldn't have put in the overhead pocket. I hand stitched some new elastic to the inside of the original piece and improved the sag quite a bit. I was actually just trying it out to see if it was feasible. Eventually, I'll go...
Skip shift can be eliminated with a tune from a qualified tuner or with a number of after market fixes. It shouldn't force you to 4th regardless unless my Gen II is set up differently than yours. It will lock out 2nd, but you can go to third. Am I missing something here? I tune out the skip...
I'm IN for getting AJ there. He's had my S/S up for offers of a 'sample' car for a year or two when he can get to it. I'll kick in for the nominal charges.
Just DON'T go to sleep! :D
See you guys in a couple of weeks ... this RoundUp is looking like it may be one of the best yet. Last I heard from Ryan, it's at 80 people and 60 cars. COME ON, END OF THE MONTH!
Corey, Plan the weekend coming up at the end of March and drive on up to the Round Up in Austin. You'll get a chance to meet up with a lot of the Texas folks and spend some time having fun with your car. That was my FIRST outing with Viper guys and it's worth the trip. This one isn't...
Glad nobody was hurt ... that's the key point to pick up from the above. I had a T-Bone in my Avalanche last year (front right wheel- totalled the other car). The only reason that I mention that is that I have USAA also and they were very reasonable and worked with me. You have to watch out...
There is a Viper that goes to the Hooters I frequent and I've seen it a number of times. Tried the board, but he obviously either isn't on here or doesn't want to be bothered. I've thought about leaving a card, but didn't know how that would be taken. Total opposite ... I saw a really nice...
10-12 hours in the Viper can be taxing, but it's a matter of finding that sweet cruising speed (usually around 90) where you can relax your leg and foot and let it rest on the pedal lightly. I was surprised to find how much difference that made once I discovered where my Snake liked to run.
I've been in touch with Gerry and as of a couple of weeks ago, they didn't know when they were coming over yet. He promised to let me know as soon as they had a date. February kind of flew by and I still need to gather up the 'stuff' from the others in the region. For SURE, if not before...
My Son does paint and body work from time to time and he showed me what weather, timing and temps can do to a paint job if not done right. If not done in a 'paint booth' by an experienced expert, the results can be something that you don't want to deal with. Go back to the shop with your...
A 2000 rating is below anything you want to wear on a bike OR in a car! That is one OLD sucker. I would think that your noggin is worth more that that helmet! Did you know that helmets have a shelf life? The material inside the shell that protects your BRAIN degrades with time, even in your...
I'm already booked at the Domain at the Viper rate and my wife has her flight set up to join us. Regardless of VCA support or involvement, the Roundup is something worth doing to join up with other 'like minded' Viper lovers for a weekend of Texas friendship and fun. I think the room deal is a...
