I hear ya man. Like I said, I would have the car if I could afford it. It's looking like the best viper yet. 2000 ACR questions
Thanks Matt. I do have a viper mechanic in my area (metro detroit), however, I have always gotten "The car looks great to me." That isn't sufficient because I have pointed out the bushing issues of the end-links and the odd smell when I step on the gas. I just don't get why no one seems to...- terminator02

New Viper is huge letdown
Please show me that Gen I GTS so I can see what you see. Back to reality...the car is fantastic. It's the best car yet on paper. However I will probably always prefer the look and feel of the gen II GTS. Just raw and perfectly sculpted like me. U mad?- terminator02

How are you so certain 50% view the Gen III/IV more aesthetically pleasing than the Gen 1/2? Secondly, why so presumptuous that people would "trade ignoring price" for the gen5. one thing that has me worry about Gen 5
I am just worried there are people other than you that believe this. If enough of you are around then the Gen V may actually be a devolution of a styling classic. There's truth to that phrase "respect your elders." The Gen III sure didn't and they paid a price for that from a styling...- terminator02

A couple points: I don't think any viper really will "capture the appeal and hearts" like the GenI & GenII GTS did. Complete nonsense you are writing. Dodge is using "modern ideas" and has continued to do so. Part of the problem was the modernization actually backfired from an aesthetic perspective. Let's get an odometer reading from everyone
2000 ACR turned 24k before storage this winter. I bought the car in the spring of 2009 with 14,800 ticks so will have put about 10k on in 3 seasons when I take her out of storage. What about everyone else (garage queens I guess can apply but not really intended for those).- terminator02

650hp for the 2013 Mustang GT500?!

Got the exhaust on! WOW what a difference!
Hey I have a similar setup. I am running 3 inch straight pipes all the way to the back with Megs exhaust tips and no muffler. Still have stock cats on. I notice if I accelerate hard I get a VERY strong smell in my cabin. I love the sound and it definitely turns heads on the street. Very mean!- terminator02

You probably have stock cats. WO cats is LOUD; especially with some aftermarket exhaust tips or whatever you are describing. 200 on the thermostat is high I think. My car stays around a tick or two under 190 if reporting is accurate- terminator02

Anyone ever go up against this car? If so what was the outcome?
Isn't the general rule a 1/10 off the 1/2 for every 100lbs? The 600hp viper has an 800 lb advantage over a 68hp loss. I would say it's a drivers race any day.
