As far as the scca rules, there is a difference between street based cars & allowed purpose built race cars. The old gts cars can make more mods to the engine than the CC. I think that the strong showing last year was the reason that the adjustments happened, just like the caddies. Winning...- pdmracing

Thats not the point. You can buy a porsche gt3 , you can buy an audi rs6, you can buy a caddy zo6, you cant buy a viper coupe for the street, PERIOD. Could it be that there is no street equivilent Viper Coupe? All of the other cars on the grid can be bought in any showroom, they may me heavily modded, but you can buy one. Is it OK to drive your Viper to a wake / funeral ?
Unfortunately I have had to attend too many over the last few years, The last 3 had the race cars @ the funeral homes!. At one, his wife asked for a moment of silence, then we heard one lap of lemans over the PA! We were all instructed to bring a "toast" And thats what we did! On the way to the...- pdmracing

RIGHT ON JD!!!!!!!! I got a 308 that we can use & how about my spec miata, playing around on the dyno the other day we found a 1 hp improvement in the plugs alone( thats a big deal in a spec miata!)- pdmracing

Exactly, buy a good quality known brand name piece. The SA + a nomex liner & its worth the $$. Full face also come in 2 separate eye ports for guys who wear glasses, its a nuch larger eye port. Spoke with Skip Barber folks today...
Try the panoz school @ road atlanta, the cars are front engined like the viper, & you are at the king daddy track of all time Road atlanta. the 3 day course is very good 7 the instructors are pro's that actually race in the big leauges. Ask anyone who was at our Zone Rendevouse!- pdmracing
