    Under 00 GTS in garage now. Want to disengage skipshift. Do I need to remove skid plate between frame rails to gain access? Anyone have a pic to post? Im peering into small access area just before skid plate and see several sensors. Not sure which is which.

    Pros and Cons For Running No Cats On A 02 Viper?

    Lose the cats. I dont know differences with respect to this between 00 and newer cars, but my 00 GTS has rear simms from Apex and no cats. Get no funny smell, sounds incredible, side sills are ambient temp and cabin doesnt heat up as much. Great mod for the $$$.

    HRE trade?????

    Dont really know. Im open to about anything. My HRE's are absolutely perfect, I am just more partial to the other styles. If anyone out there likes the 540's better and have a set of 546 or 547s , then get a hold of me. Never hurts to ask.

    I have an absolutely flawless set of 19' Rear HRE 540's with 345 Pilots and 18" front 540's with Pilot 285s. Nothing wrong with the 540's but I absolutely love the 546/547 series. Just personal preference. I bought my GTS with the 540s. I think they are the same price as the 546/547 series...

    Does anyone here use the A/C?

    My 00 GTS runs with AC quite often. Even in 95 deg heat, temp rarely goes over 190 unless Im stopped idleing for more than 5 min., when it will creep up over 200 or so. But mostly stays about 190 rock solid no matter what. Guess Im lucky.

    I agree. Cut out the cats and get rear O2 sensors. My 00 GTS side sills run ambient temp, sounds great, no problems.

    Have mostly stock 00 GTS. Smooth tubes and Borla cat back. No cats and rear O2 sensors. Dont know exactly how far he was behind me as I was paying attention to the road, but would estimate 6 cars. He got a slight jump on me to about 50 mph. I was about a car length back not expecting it...

    GTS exhaust heat shield?

    Have 00 GTS with no cats. Ive seen on some of the Hennessey cars a stainless heat shield attached to rear bumper surrounding exhaust as it exits rear. It probably does very little but certainly looks pretty cool. Anyone know where to get these?

    That is correct. If you pay the TX sales tax, which by the way I think is even higher than 6.5%.....maybe 7.25% or so when the county of origin takes their bite too.... then the guy on the CO will get a TX title in the mail in a few weeks. He can then sign it over to you as a private sale...

Reason is because dealer who originally sold car wrote buyers name at top back of CO. Dealer sold the car to that individual and car MUST be titled into that persons...
