That is one of the best viper pics I've ever seen. Anyway, that is a GTS-R wing. It is all CF and expensive. I don't know who currently makes them though. No more access to the rear hatch if you get one.
I bought my car new from Woodhouse with a Corsa cat back w/stock cats in place. The car wasn't loud at all (at least by my standards). I just picked up my car this weekend from Heffner after installing hi-flo cats. The car is definitely louder, the side sills are much cooler. I don't mind...
Re: 275/30 or 285/30 on Front 19\'s?
I have 285/30-19s, 345/30-19s. Works well. I have been considering 275/35s in the front when the tires wear out. Some people have 295/35-19s on the front, but I think that is too tall.
If it came out exactly like the GTS-R car, I'd almost certainly buy one. I'm sure you could get others as well. The hard part is getting anyone to committ before a final product is ready. I'd have to see it first.
Re: My Wife\'s First Track Day
Great post. I can appreciate it since my wife doesn't care for my viper much. She hates the recaro seats and can't drive a stick anyway. As for her getting sick, I can relate to that. I rode as a passenger with my instructor for two sessions at VIR and had to...
I was extremely impressed by the SRT-10 carbon. DC made the car much lighter and gave it an engine that could be considered a work of art aside from its stunning hp rating. It seemed like such a great effort. There were even rumors of it being produced.
Was cost the reason it was canned...
Last time I checked, the starter of this thread specifically mentioned the corvette or however you choose to spell it. So, how do my comments get categorized as 'anything goes'? I love my GTS and think it is one of the best styled cars ever to be produced. It has a timeless design that the...
Thanks for reminding me. I looked and you are right. The fine print on the paperwork I signed for the GTS clearly states "the owner cannot ever think GM could develop a better car or my ownership rights would be revoked."
Here is a quote on the new Z06 from this months Sports Car International.
"...The end result is a distinctive-looking Corvette that goes faster than almost any other street-legal car available today. Notice I didn't say faster than any car in its price range, or faster than any mass-produced...
Your car is close to mine in appearance, except color. I have the Forgelines and autoform fascia. Please tell us more on the brakes.
Questions:
Did you cut a hole in the roof for the roof vent?
What size front tires are you using with the VR1s? I have 285/30-19s.
I'm looking for the best compromise for a street/track pad set up. The car is mainly street driven with a few track weekends per yr. I have been leaning towards brakeman 3s from what I could gather on previous posts. Anyone agree or have other suggestions?
Virginia was planning to phase out the tax when the economy was good. Now that plan has been scratched. I am considering getting an ERA replica GT40. The car will be exempt from the car tax as it will be registered as a classic.
