Don't mind at all, there is no clearance issues as far as being able to shut the door. As far as going into the same hole the answer is "kinda" lol. What I mean is I needed maybe 1/8" more but didn't want to cut anything so if you just drill the holes and "push" hard as you are snugging...
Re: Looking to buy in Virginia...can someone take a quick look for a fellow Viper own
Damn that POOR Viper! The owner that did that should be brought up on abuse charges :omg:
Well new speakers are in and I just can't believe the difference. My Driver's side OEM speaker's cone was completely gone lol. These new Polk Audio (Marine Certified as well) are just amazing, it is like I have a whole new system. I upgraded to the 6.5" from the 5.25, damn that was a tight...
Ok, great that is what I thought I should do. I'm going with Polk Audio DXi650's. I listened to everything in the store very close, from soft to blaring loud. My top pics where Alpine, Infinity and the Polk Audios. By the end the Polk Audio speakers are what I was trying to compare...
Ok, think I figured it out, can someone PLEASE verify I would be doing this right. According to the wiring diagram (pic below) it looks like while there are the 4 wires, the lighter ones (blue and green) would go to the positive and the darker (blue and green) would go to the negative of the...
Well as you can see from the pic, she sure is hell blown, lol, I'm amazed I got any sound at all. I'm on my way out to pick up some new speakers tonight. Anyway I unhooked it at the harness and I'm guess I have to re-solder the speaker side of the harness to a new speaker correct? I included...
Ok, last post, just road tested my beautiful snake and she is running just right! She runs much more steady now then even before my thermo stuck open, and climbs slower as well at lights which I like, plus this is the first time since I have owned my car that there is zero coolant smell at the...
No problem, it was a lot of fun :D I just got all the fluids filled back up, burped forever it seemed like, and then filled from the heater hose in the back of the motor and again burped forever lol. I'll be starting her back up tomorrow, sure would be a lot easier if they would have put that...
Cool, seems like a really neat product! I just got finished doing the thermostat on my Gen 1 and used my HF torque wrench. The only reason I bought the HF is b/c every review I've ever seen on them said they were great. I personally know a shop that has the expensive Snap-Ons and they are as...
I remember when they first became a sponsor and their wrench looks fantastic at a great price for VCA people. I figure it has been out long enough some of you that have bought it could give me a solid review on how it holds up, look, feel etc. So has anyone had one for a while, thinking of...
Then I put the hoses all back together. I personally think the pressure clamps that are on the hoses suck a$$ and are the biggest PITA to remove so I switched everything over to screw type hose clamps to make things easier, plus they look better.
Then just went back over all my notes I made...
Then it was time to do the same thing to the thermostat housing after installing the new seal ring. If you elect to install that it is also a real PITA to get out and in (Chuck told me that but I had to figure it out the hard way ;) ).
Next I installed the thermo into the new seal...
Ok here we go, got to work on it tonight:
Part II - Putting it all back together
First I cleaned all the old gasket material from the crossover and where it sits on the engine. This is a bitch, plain and simple. I bought a 10.00 can of Permatex gasket remover and it did jack$hit so I was...
Jeff,
Yes, I swapped the hoses with new ones and I have a new pressure cap as well. After seeing the highway robbery places wanted for the 2 small new hoses which is $#$%@^@@ ridiculous I picked up an OEM set from another manufacture that matched perfectly as you can see in the below post...
Ok, then it makes sense to me looking at the crossover off my Gen 1, I somehow thought I read the thermo opening is what supplied the heater core which couldn't be right looking at where the heater hose connects, so now it all makes sense, thanks.
