I posted this on the other forum a while back but updated it today with a few pictures and realized I hadn't posted it on the VCA. I wanted to b/c I want to give vendors like Autoform all the exposure we can as these guys truly support the cars we love! Here is a modified version of the post...
I even scrape sometimes at stock ride height lol, nature of the beast. Only time it was an issue was when the coolant bottle punctured b/c I hadn't done the screw mod, other than the scaped up underneath front facia not that big deal.
Wow...just wow. Obviously this guy is crazy as a $hit house rat but damn. Sorry your gorgeous Gen V was the victim. This is why we have insurance though, it still sucks but at least your not stuck with the bill thank goodness. Just curious, how did the bill come in at 38K? I'm assuming...
Steve is definitely the man when helping those of us that have a rare issue like this, or in my case laziness to change my battery :D Thanks again Steve!
This is not a part, but a service for repairing. Not sure this will help anyone or not but I was surfing ebay today and came across an auction for PCM repairs for every Dodge Viper year. I thought it was interesting so figured I'd post it. The company is called SIA Electronics and charge...
Water is normal because very hot exhaust is condensing the cooler air forming water vapor that is getting blown out your exhaust pipes. My RT10 is a master at it :D
Don't know if this will help anyone or not but thought I'd post the way I do it b/c we run into unique clearance issues when using bottle jacks on jack trays. I had to change my battery so my solution was to get a pair of scissor jacks and use the jack points on the car to get it up high enough...
The description of why made me laugh, I believe it was lifted directly from Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear. What they left out was that he loved it :D I for one am honored to be on the same list as some of these cars, I bet the guy writing it drives a Prius lol...
I think we all know how much Dr. Steve Fess does for the people on this forum. I haven't seen a thread where someone isn't greeted with a helpful "give me a call" from Steve when their Viper decides to turn on them. Well today mine did, the battery went while I was out on a drive and the...
Yes, ONR is a great product. In the video I'm using Turtle Wax Rinse Free Wash And Wax b/c I can get it locally. It is the only TW product I think is worth anything, they hit a home run with this one. Some people claim it is the same as ONR, I know they look and smell identical but you have...
Sure, I actually did a video on it for people asking like you. The video is on my Ducati Superbike, a bike you don't want to be shooting water into, but the same steps apply. Watch the video and if you have any other questions I'd be happy to help, I do rinseless exclusively on the Viper and...
Go to a rinsless wash and ditch the hose, then you don't need to worry about towels, etc. I did the same thing forever, had bags for the ECU (gen 1 car) and towels under the hood etc. It took forever to wash the car, not to mention getting water inside the car (which you don't have to worry...
