    MAJOR wheel trouble (overtorqued lugs)

"mac tool truck or a snap on tool truck, they sell a special tool which is basicly a very very strong socket with ridges in it, this tool is used to remove wheel locks. once the lugs are totaly stripped, this is your best option." This is the only way to go.

    Dropped price on 01 GTS!

The 100,000 mile 01 GTS that sold for less than $34k has put a real dent in the market for 22,000 mile Vipers selling for $49.5k

Whats my 96 Blue & White worth ?

"Let me know what you decide to ask. I'm actively looking for an older GTS with some mileage on it." Did you see the thread about the ebay sale of a 2001 GTS with 100k miles? Good condition, just the miles. Sold for $34,700

    2001 GTS w/ 100k miles

So you got it for $34,700? I would have thought it would go for at least a few k$ more. I'll bet your auto bid limit was $35k :-)

    Squirrely Viper-normal?

My 94 does the darty thing on bad roads. I found that when I went to Kouhmo 700s, the sticky cheater tire, it didn't seem to do it as much. To me that means tires have something to do with it. I have a 96 C4 Vette that has fairly large tires and it does none of the darty stuff ever. Tracks...

Buy the new top from Jeff. I have the one piece version with no scoop. It looks so good compared to any of the others, it's a no brainer.

Did anyone check the Vette site to see if they dropped this? Is anyone over there trying to figure out whose car it was?

    Questions about Vipers

Another thing about the Viper is that the very large tires will often track grooves in the pavement. A crowned road in the country or a worn city road will have the Viper darting from side to side. Why they do this, I don't know. The big tires will also hydroplane long before other cars wuth...

    Encounter with Z06

"He came back to let me drive it" If it was his car I might have taken him up on his offer to drive the ZO6. But knowing that the car wasn't his, I would be very concerned about what would happen if something happened to the car while I was driving it. Who would pay? Would your buddy...

    2001 GTS w/ 100k miles

What do you expect to see with a compression test? If the car really has 100,000 miles it probably is a highway driver. I doubt that a one owner 100,000 mile Viper is going to be a beater. It's probably just been driven like any other car. Do you think it's going to have a worn out engine...

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

"BTW - a frame does not weigh enough to make an aluminum one reduce weight to that degree." I think you have something there Barry. "Remember I did mention Caron Fiber Hood , Body panels, gutted, PLUS A DRAG VEHICLE DOES NOT NEED large fuel cell ,heavy front tires" What did you do with all...

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

"Al does not have the same streanth per lb as steel. Unless you had an engineer design a frame with that in mind it will not last. I am calling [******] on this in a big way" I was thinking the same thing. Could it be that he's making up this whole thing? :-)

    2001 GTS w/ 100k miles

If the guy isn't responding, there is probably something wrong. Scam perhaps. But on top of that... Exactly what is it about 100,000 miles on a 2001 that would make the car worth so much less than a car with 25,000 miles? Do you think anything in the engine is shot after 100,000 miles...

    Questions about Vipers

"How can you tell if someone beat on the car?" Look out for a Viper that has been rebuilt after a wreck. That is more important than the car being driven hard. Watch out for repainted cars. Take a very close look at the way the hood fits. You really need a Viper guy to check it out. I'm...

Got spare change laying around? Then this Viper is for you.

"I see they take the intake air from the grill area, a 'la Vipair." Vipair...... Did you say Vipair?

This may have the dolphin Viper beat!

Now you guys see how I feel when I see a Viper with a big wing, strange facia and silly wheels...... Everyone has their own limits when it comes to paint and poser mods that make a Viper look like something out of a "Hot Wheels" box. Everyone's got their own thing. I really like stock.

    Blank keys via eBay

"Only issue, it was not really made for GEN1 cars...it works but mine you have to pull out a millimeter or 2 from being all the way in, in order to turn it." I'm thinking that was a problem caused by the cutting. I bought a couple on Ebay. The local hardware screwed up one trying to cut it. So...

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

Why would this guy, 1999GTSVenom700, not just post a few pictures or details that could be checked? A few names of other Viper folks who could corroborate his story would help. Anyone who did all this would be one strange bird to keep it all secret and make himself look like he was some kid...

    BFG's vs Kumho?

Roe Blower and light flywheel???????? ASAP, Please!!!

Lots of go fast mods will impact the street drivability of your car. The light flywheel is one of them. The light flywheel will make your car accelerate faster and slow faster on braking. That is a fact. Launching at the drags might be different and perhaps harder to master with the light wheel...

    Beware of tow truck drivers!!!

The brakes will work without boost. You just have to push hard. That's a fact.
