    There is in fact a casting problem with one of the engine parts. It is involving a supplier, but not with the supplier keeping up with demand, but rather manufacturing the parts correctly. They are remaking the part to fix this, whcih is in fact slowing down production drastically.

    Prices of "new" 2006s?

    I think they pretty much bottomed out back in February between $70-75k. There are only a few left. I see a few with approximatley 100-300 miles that the dealers are considering new, but very few actual 'new' ones. I paid $75k for my coupe (blue/silver) in Feb. with the 5 spoke wheels.

    I would stay put with your car. I too have an '06 coupe (blue and silver) and thought about an '08. However, I feel that despite what many others think, the viper will live and a new design will be coming out within two years or so. If that happens, are you goingot want to trade in your '08...

    My Viper is a 5 speed....

    I use it all the time about about 70 mph. It is simply overdrive on the highway and gets me better mileage. I actually have good passing power in 6th gear at 70 mph. Why would you want to keep the car at 2200-2500 rpm on the highway if you don't need to?

    Waxing your ride.

    I use Zymol and love it. I just did it on sunday and the car looks amazing. I really thought most of you used Zaino, but I guess I was wrong.
