Hey Guys,
Got some base pricing worked out with the owner. Feel free to make reasonable offers:
1. Roe VEC-2 w/Harness: 500.00
2. 60lb Shorty Injectors: 300.00
3. Paxton Split Second: 250.00
4. Paxton FMU and Booster Pumps: 150.00
5. Corsa [Track] 2.5" direct fit Cat-Back: 500.00
6. Stock...
Yes, multiple ways actually. There are adapters which can fit multiple cameras and AUX inputs, and we are also working on a next-generation adapter that will add the functionality directly as the OEM would have had it- just need to reverse engineer more of the CAN datastream for direct activation.
Hey Guys,
I have a few parts pulled off a Gen-3 Paxton car that the owner would like to liquidate... Make offers, and I will work on getting what he wants out of them as well;
1. Roe VEC-2 w/Harness
2. 60lb Shorty Injectors
3. Paxton Split Second
4. Paxton FMU and Booster Pumps
5. Corsa 2.5"...
Just a heads up guys, VSP is now carrying ALL ECU's for the Gen-2 and Gen-3 Viper and Ram SRT applications. We can get you... or make you... just about anything, regardless of its current availability. All the way from the 1996 RT/10 to the 2006 Ram SRT-10 Auto Quad Cab!
Also, have a broken...
If you have a tire machine with a pneumatic arm, you can use the arm to break the bead and push the tire down, allowing you to replace the sensor without taking the tire off. Just dont drop it. :D
Negative. The VIN in the BCM is already there and programmed separately, not being able to be changed in any case. Changing the VIN in the PCM will have no effect on the programming for the windows in the BCM.
Gen-1 based harness parts are going to be long since obsoleted. Far more effort than its worth to do it that way. A VEC will work, but would be far off the gains that could be attained by jumping to an SCT Gen-2 platform. Its up to him ultimately, but if he hasnt done a full gasket update, that...
-Gen-3, Gen-4, doesnt matter. The codes will be different and need to be programmed.
-If you keep your originals, no, it wont need to be programmed.
-Most dealers charge around $50 bucks or so for the time.
-Magnets are used yes, but you need the dealer tool to enter learn mode.
All Gen-4 conversions have the COP covers, but we are the only ones to make them functional with a true COP [technically CNP] system from the Gen-4 as far as I know:2tu:
I answered this in another thread already by chance;
It will not work in an application like this. The crank and cam triggers are far more complex than most of those types of units would be able to handle, and that is just the start. The crank and cam trigger edges, which would be utilized...
Hello,
Completely different ballpark. Perhaps even country. Yes, that is true; the Mopar PCM eases up a few of the inherent problems with check engine lights, but it does next to nothing for actual tuning issues. The fact that is cannot be adjusted makes its value very low in the performance...
Will do. Some things will likely change between now and then, but I will certainly keep everyone up to date on progress and availability. I really want to get the Gen-4 & 5 markets moving, and I will also be reaching out to other vendors when the time comes to try and get these products out to...
There is a difference between "having something in mind" and building intentionally for it. Even if it is technically a forged part and has a decently stong design, a 10:1+, flat top, short skirt, large quench piston design sitting on top of a PM rod is NOT an ideal forced induction design...
And they were also charging additional money for this. If THAT was the case, sure, I would entertain the idea as I am sure they will be fine for reasonable package levels. But, to do it for free makes no business sense unless its being built into the cost anyway. I am trying to keep costs down...
This is generally correct, yes. The problem is that Gen-4 appears to have a wider acceptable tolerance level with regard to strength. Some guys have no problems, while many others have issues that pop up for no apparent reason, especially on the track.
TrackAire is right on the money. There are MANY levels of forged pistons, which is just a process, not a design or even a material. The Gen-5 pistons were "forged" because they were tired of having Gen-4 engines fall apart on the track, and trust me, there were many. I have about 100 Gen-4...
No matter how you slice it, it is warrantying something that we technically did not build, nor have any way of inspecting. A warranty is based on the assumption that money made will greatly exceed the risk of having to repair the product that you sold. In the case of a basic installation, there...
