    When you don't check the polarity of the terminal positive red , the spark means you have blown the 15amp fuse in the centre its the only with a black tab around it ,just replace it . Its the battery memory fuse for the radio.

    You should disconnect and remove the switch first to see if it is the problem still there first.

    Horn not working?

    The BCM controls the horn relay ,the steering pad switch is intergraded part of the air bag circuit ,the problem may be there .You need a scan tool can check if there is a input from the horn pad.

    That's true Vehicles don't like fuses pulled when running. When circuits go dead current tends to find different sources for power, it may have blown other fuses. I would start with a test light and check every single fuse, probe the top of the fuse there are 2 contacts there , with the ignition...

    I would have the battery load tested in front of you, make sure the cable bolts are tight,or try another battery borrow one , be careful of the polarity do not reverse them.
