    Check out this Viper!

Been following this build. Nothing I'd ever do to a Viper, but I dig the guys builds and humor.

Guidance on how to sell my Viper

Everyone will have differing opinions on what is acceptable for them, I can only speak for myself. I won't let anyone drive the car until I have proper assurance that they have payment and are serious about buying the car. Even then, I'm in the passenger seat and we drive where and how I say...

What special Viper do i have? Strange GTS Combination

Europe spec put a restriction in the airbox and exhaust if memory serves me right. I believe the ecu was also tuned differently. Europe tends to be a little more restrictive than the U.S. for emissions, noise, and probably a few other things.

    Throttle body manufacturer?

Been a while, figured I'd bump this and see if there were any new thoughts on who these throttle bodies were manufactured by.

Does anyone know this TT Gen2 ACR?

I don't know the history of the car, but I have a few theories about time on the market. Looks to be a great car, but the market is a little soft right now. It is a TT car, but it is also an ACR with engine mods, non factory (BBS) ACR wheels, and judging by the stance, not factory ACR...

New GTS ACR Owner in Geneseo IL

Jumping on VinWiki is a good source. There are a few different accounts that track Vipers and Vins. I track 2nd gen GTS ACR's whenever I find them online. Your car might already be on my list, if not, toss me the vin and I'll add it.

Need to vent! Suspension and shop frustrations!

You could be correct about them not wanting to touch it. Some shops don't want to be on the hook for certain cars. My local shop wants nothing to do with my car. Sounds like he doesn't fully understand shock options on our cars. Most come with a heavy dose of sticker shock, and like you...

    New Radiator from X2Builders

I installed one last year. Overall, the build quilty was good and looked OEM. The radiator came packaged well. I didn't have a problem with necks being misaligned, maybe they have addressed this over the years. The radiator installed just as easily as the old one came out. The only thing I...

What Tire Size For 18x11 fronts and 18x13 rears on gen 2 GTS?

I'd have to ask CCW where they pull their measurements from. These wheels came with the car (luckily they are what I would have purchased), my measurement of the front was pulled with rudimentary outside to outside.

What Tire Size For 18x11 fronts and 18x13 rears on gen 2 GTS?

I was pretty sure the fronts were 11" wide. Double checked with a quick tape measure and they look to be 11" fronts.

What Tire Size For 18x11 fronts and 18x13 rears on gen 2 GTS?

My Continental Extreme Contact Sports are 275/35 front and 335/30 rear.

Viper t.v. prop car for sale...?

Flipping through bring a trailer and came across the Defender from the t.v. show Viper. Had no clue one of these was floating around. Definitely brings back some nostalgic memories.https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-viper-defender-tv-car/

How could a clean Gen3 viper sell for $38K?

I agree 100%. 40k could be considered "high mileage" for low production sports cars with any collectible value, but that's not why I own cars. Cars that are as much fun to drive as Vipers should be driven IMO, save the collecting for baseball cards.

    Dodge 8.0 Differences?

I've seen those videos in my suggested YouTube videos, but never got around to them. Seeing a tear down of the two variants definitely has me curious.

How could a clean Gen3 viper sell for $38K?

At a glance it is a car that has "higher miles", and a history with some level of front end damage. Gen 3 cars aren't usually the most sought after, the auction appears to be no reserve, and the market is settling down for most Vipers after some record highs. When you add it all up, it looks...

Anybody wanna talk about my Viper?

That is outstanding Well worth a night on the couch if you ask me. Then again, I must have spent most of that first night just staring at the car in the garage instead of sleeping anyway. I'm sure she'll warm up to the idea with the attention you guys are sure to see at car shows.

    Cool cars that s u c k to own...........

My thoughts on the Viper... 1.) It's one of the most affordable hand built low production (just over 31,000 TOTAL) iconic sports cars you can own. 2.) Maintenance won't bankrupt you the way other low production sports cars can. 3.) The driving experience is visceral which makes me feel alive...

2001 GEN2 GTS Trailing Rear Suspension Link

That's one of those strange parts that don't share a lot or any parts interchangeability with other Dodge's. Have you tried X2 builders, LeeC parts or any other salvage business that strips down wrecked Vipers?

FS: 1996 Viper GTS Hennessey 600

Outstanding car, I definitely remember all of the coverage Motor Trend did on the Hennessy Vipers. You're right down the road from me, small world. Good luck on the sale, definitely a gem in the gts world.

    Suspension bushings

It depends on how far their procedure says to tear it down. Some shops have to stick with what the computer tells them to charge hours wise. 40 hrs. does sound a little much, especially if the arms are staying attached to the knuckle. I did mine in my garage, but I did have to take the arms...

Need some Help: 2001 GTS drivers door will not open.

Luckily I've never had to deal with this, but have read a surprising number of people on various Viper forums that have. Sounds like it's common to have wire breakage at the harness where it enters the door. I've also read that the broken wire may not be obvious, because the breakage could be...
