I guess you have time to wash your car every time you drive it to work and it rains.
We've had a LOT of rain here (Cedar Falls, IA; made CNN and national news) with major flooding, so I wasn't able to wash it sooner.
It IS washed as of today.
I was asked to post a picture and I did as soon as...

Note there is NO place to loop the cap tether from the factory. I bought this 3M removable hook (8 or 10 of them!) for only a couple of bucks at Wal-Mart....
BTW, I KNOW the car is dirty. It was driven in the rain to work before I took off on vacation and I just got back a few...

People are free to do what they want, but paying big bucks for a ZR-1 is strictly a big dollar speculative gamble.
As for a sports car to drive, I have to have a convertible, no dice on Corvettes over 436 HP- Advantage Viper.
If were to have a coupe, the Viper wins big time over an MSRP ZR1...
I always hated the way my gas cap banged the body on my '04 during refueling. It has been filled many times in the 32,800 miles I have driven it.
Putting a small 3M wall hanging hook on the fuel door provides an easily removable solution to hold the cap away from the body during refueling...
I have 27,295 miles on my original spark plugs and the car STILL runs perfectly.
Why did you think you needed new spark plugs? The service schedule calls for them to be replaced at 30,000 mile intervals! The only reason there is a time listed is to fit them into a regular service timetable...
I use a battery tender occationally during the winter months as insurance against the battery being run down. However mine will hold a charge just fine over a dormant 2 month or longer time period.
I don't think you NEED battery tender unless you plan to leave the car sit for more than a month...
Not Quite! There are no Z06 convertibles. The performance differences are minor and well within the skill level of the drivers in 90% of street situations.
If I didn't live in Iowa, loaded with salt and potholes all winter, I'd be driving my Viper almost every day all year. As it is I've...
I thought I drove pretty easy to get 13,000 miles on each set of rear tires (so far).
I have a hard time believing you have the willpower to drive that gently so often!!!
The key is that you think the coupe is better looking.
Drive what you like most.
Me, I enjoy convertibles, and have never bought any hard roof car (new or used) for myself costing more than $16,000. I wouldn't consider any high dollar coupe. The only POSSIBLE exception would be if I hit the...
Are there any OBJECTIVE tests (the Car & Driver or other reputable independent party) that show anything beats a V? If so, where can they be seen?
NEVER trust a marketer's hype.....
My '04 Viper has been over 27,000 miles mostly (80-90%, it is not always available when I am on cross country vacations with the Viper) on E10/Gasohol. It doesn't appear to hurt a thing and it is OK per the new car documentation.
Do loose some gas mileage, but your driving technique is a MUCH...
I wouldn't count the Viper out yet.
I think Vipers have enough brand value and enough inherent performance to keep them viable without major changes for many years. Powerplants are relatively easy to upgrade for power or revamp for efficiency as the market demands.
However, if it does come to...
The factory side sills are ALUMINUM for a REASON.
I had wondered how the magazines showed how you could fry an egg on the side sills. When I put in cruise control it all made sense.
I wouldn't ride in an SRT-10 with fiberglass or any polymer side sills.
Good Luck....
Why do you view and comment on the Gen 3 site if you don't like the 500 HP and up generation?
Styling is a matter of taste. The Gen 3 is the first to offer a full convertible, and like it or not, not everyone is thrilled with the styling of the earlier Vipers. I don't go on the other sites...
