Belanger Headers...Factory Heat Shields or Not?

Here we go again :) You will get both sides. I use heat shields. It keeps the temperature confined. The Viper is too hot to begin with. You will be adding heat to every piece of plastic and rubber. The car won't catch blaze, the parts will just deteriorate quicker. I am sure the famous...

    Optima Battery question

Shor, I understand you needed to fix the battery. But "Dripping" solder will cause a "cold" joint that has resistance=heat. When soldering, the solder will follow the heat. To do it right, you have to get the terminal really hot and allow the solder to flow in. Most likely the battery would...

    Anyone buy Gear from this place??? C H E A P.

Bugeater, thanks for the Link! Most of our Vendors want $595 (list is about $650) for those seats. I would not worry about arrival of goods. Pay with credit card and you are protected. My only concern is that a seat is a large item and may get beat up in shipping.

Transmission - Dexron III or Gear Lube

Maybe I was not clear on the original question. ATF and Gear lube can both be synthetic. Sure this is the way to go. I have tried ATF and Gear Lube. Gear Lube helps on NGR noise but once the car gets hot, it is still there, but much better. Some have stated that ATF is safer on gears. ATF is...

    Recall 998

Don't take this the wrong way, but the car already has standard "Viper mileage". 3300 miles is not that low. If I were going to buy a first year GTS, I would want no more mileage than the delivery ticket... usually 8 to 12 miles total. Since it is a saftey issue and the car is being driven, I...

    What's the highest price ...

Re: What\'s the highest price ... I am glad you are not selling it cheap. The best time to sell a car is when you don't have to.

    My new revolution lift

Revolution by Rotary Lift. We had to buy three lifts min to get the discount. That was $1000 off of list. Price is delivered. The lift that fell was a Perfect Park 9000...correct? It is the one with the Corvette going into the drywall. I think that may have been user error. The cable was not...

Jenna Jameson's Viper 4 Sale on Ebay

Re: Jenna Jameson\'s Viper 4 Sale on Ebay Viper585, if you win the car. Let us know what is wrong with it! This car has been for sale for a VERY VERY long time. She actually had a web site with the car on it for sale. Then it went to eBay a few times with her actually selling the car. Now all...

    Factory Painted Panels?

Who would paint side sills on a car? They are removed, painted, and re-installed. I would look for repaint on the quarter panel. Paint work is no big deal unless you own a museum piece Viper. But those will have no mileage. Have you looked under the car? Is there any evidence of frame or...

Viper vs. F16 on Ripleys Believe it or not

In what appears to be a copy cat move, A Eurofighter Jet will race Michael Schumacher in a Ferrari F2003A on December 11th. They will race for 500 and 1500 meters at Grosseto Air Force Base in Italy.

    Front Fascia Removal/Repaint

If the alignment is perfect, you can pull the plastic fasteners. In many cases, you are removing the front facia for alignment problems so it needs to stay attached to the bumber. The front bumper is very light. The headlights have shims under them. You can raise them. Yes the front facia...

    Front Fascia Removal/Repaint

Hey guys, I have done it many times and have taken pictures of the entire process. Don't take the "Christmas Tree" style clips out. That method works but then you end up with a floppy front facia. I like leaving the fiberglass bumper attached. I am the same as Chuck, I hate typing that much...

    Viper Calendar Project clips 300!

Chris, You know how I feel about the Bikini Pictures! They are not offensive to me. Tracy is correct, you can see much more at the beach. It sounds like Janni feels the same. I say we use them and I am sure our sales will increase. Maybe we can keep the "girly" pictures in a separate folder...

    Supercharged Insurance

Lance is very knowledgeable. I work for an insurance company. Your agent can tell you anything he wants. The only thing that matters is what the policy states. Your agent is not legal council. If you insure a 450HP Viper and you have modified it, that is not the car they are insuring...

    98 gts clutch t-bearing noise

Frankie, Yes that noise is normal. NGR is the rattle you hear while in neutral at a stoplight. More noticeable when the car is hot. The noise should be there when you are at a stop and the car is in neutral. Disengage the clutch (push the pedal in) and the noise goes away = Normal 98's came...
