Pardon my ignorance. Is there a performance advantage to this throttle body, or is it an appearance mod only? What is the usual price, and what would the group buy price be?
Thanks.
I weighed mine before and after:
Original FE rims and run flat tires:
Rear 70.5#, front 58#.
Replaced with iForged aero's in 19" front and 20" rear with non-run flat PS2 tires.
New weight:
Rear 66#, front 53.5#.
So, a 4.5 pound weight savings per corner, despite chrome and going up...
Oh, Holy Chr*st! If you think iForged is the answer, you have another think coming! I have iForged both on my Viper and my Mercedes and have had horrible experience with defects, outright fraud, and piss poor warranty service and even refusal to repair under warranty. It's detailed on my...
Yes, this was essentially how he explained it. Makes more sense to call it a correction factor than drivetrain loss. Being unfamiliar with this type of dyno, I am still unsure if what he is telling me is true though...
I have logged about 500 miles since doing the 3.55 gears. I love them!! 1st is still functional, but a lot more torquey feel to 1st and 2nd. 5th and 6th are now functional. NO regrets!!!
I gained 44 hp from stock (dyno proven) on my '03 when I added Belanger headers, hi flow cat, and 3" belanger exhaust.
I just posted my dyno numbers on my '06 (see separate thread), but I never tested it before mods. I am making a surprising 585 crank HP with the belanger system.
Had my 06 coupe dyno'd on Friday. Went to Dyno-Comp in Scottsdale, AZ. They use a tuning dynamometer with electromagnetic retarders - so there is resistance throughout the power band (as opposed to a rolling drum type). They told me the drive train loss on this type of dyno is 22-25%...
Dan,
ditto the above post. What info do you need supplied with the dyno? I am planning on having a dyno done soon, so I can send it to you and place my order. What would the turn around time be?
Thanks!
Eddie Martin!
I have used the dealership on AZ Avenue for some minor things, and am usually disappointed. Last time took them 4 days to replace an O2 sensor...

This sounds like the same thing that DC performance announced several weeks ago in the new products forum. Anyone know if it is the same or not? If they are the same product or programming, will one have a pricing advantage?
Do NOT waste your money on iForged rims. I am entering month 4 of an ugly ordeal with them. Poor quality, won’t honor their warranty, and deceitful practices. If you want the whole story, it’s here: http://www.classicsupra.com/iforged.htm
I am not familiar with a gear calculator. I find that when I run the 1/4 I have to shift from 3rd to 4th right at the end of the quarter, and my trap speeds are 117-119 mph.
Would different gears change trap speed or ET, or just changing the shift points?
It's not about the bling. I find my shoes nearly slip off the stock pedals from time to time and I want something with more grip. The zero flight ones look less grippy than stock. The super bling ones like Criss Angel has seem like they would grip very well - but looks can be deceiving of...
I got a good deal on 2 sets of iForged from Ryan Woon at Wide Open Throttle Motorsports. He's currently offering a group buy discount on supraforums.com.
Email him directly at [email protected] - feel free to use my name (Jim Leiferman).
