    Yes, this was essentially how he explained it. Makes more sense to call it a correction factor than drivetrain loss. Being unfamiliar with this type of dyno, I am still unsure if what he is telling me is true though...

    Rear Gears

    I have logged about 500 miles since doing the 3.55 gears. I love them!! 1st is still functional, but a lot more torquey feel to 1st and 2nd. 5th and 6th are now functional. NO regrets!!!

    I gained 44 hp from stock (dyno proven) on my '03 when I added Belanger headers, hi flow cat, and 3" belanger exhaust. I just posted my dyno numbers on my '06 (see separate thread), but I never tested it before mods. I am making a surprising 585 crank HP with the belanger system.

    Had my 06 coupe dyno'd on Friday. Went to Dyno-Comp in Scottsdale, AZ. They use a tuning dynamometer with electromagnetic retarders - so there is resistance throughout the power band (as opposed to a rolling drum type). They told me the drive train loss on this type of dyno is 22-25%...

    3.33 or 3.55

    I am not familiar with a gear calculator. I find that when I run the 1/4 I have to shift from 3rd to 4th right at the end of the quarter, and my trap speeds are 117-119 mph. Would different gears change trap speed or ET, or just changing the shift points?
