Help Me Choose 02 GTS OR 03+ Viper
Hi fellas I have always wanted a GTS and was hoping for a final edition 2002 and maybe an ACR. But seeing as that is 1 year away from the new body style I'd like to get opinions of owners who have owned both to see which I should buy. I honestly think I like the look of the 02 body...- IDM

yeah basically I want a low mile 2002 ACR in Graphite ; ) I dont really care if the price goes up and down, I still want it and am going to drive it here and there on the weekends as I please. I will not be daily driving it and it will be a garage queen.- IDM

Again I appreciate your help, but have been around cars for a while and know what I want. I do not want a 38k mile car and I do believe that collectors do consider cars above 1,000 miles. Your points are good and generally valid but there are many grey areas such as a 5k mile 10k year old car...- IDM

How much power are people able to put out on the stock 00-02 engines safely? I may want to turbo the car eventually and would hate to not be able to do that, seems like I could just do some internal engine work and be fine any way at that point. I have actually decided I want a final...- IDM

Traded my Gen 1
Damn, would be simpler for me to find a trade too but probably will end up selling and go after the Viper I want. Forged/Supercharged, HRE Wheels, DVD Nav., etc. Will be featured in Corvette Mag soon.- IDM

Opinion on subwoofer wiring
Well that is how rumors get spread. One thing to say that Optimas aren't good batteries, saying that they aren't good in only Gen II Vipers doesn't make sense. If it was me I would run separate wiring to a stereo system and separate to the BAP. I have both of these in my car seperately wired.- IDM

Fuel line popped off - advice on repair
I can't disagree more with you either and it's almost laughable and not even worth replying to you. Are you serious? You could totally prevent a fire from spreading, there could be 0 damage if you have it out quickly, oh and you may prevent others from injury around the car.- IDM

Took the 2001 out for her first ever 1/4 mile passes!
What's the record time and trap speed in a stock Gen I or II Viper? I would have thought the trap speed to be higher. Definitely nothing to sneeze at for the first time out, great runs.- IDM

How would an optima battery last less in a Gen II Viper than any other car? If you get the correct size and a red top which is for cars you should be fine. The first thing that nobody mentioned is fire extinguisher, make sure you put a full size one in your car before driving again, even going forward I think all heavily modified cars should have one, you never know what is routed strangely or may not hold up during racing etc. If that would have...- IDM

Who likes Stripes?
They are beautiful in any form! My dads was a 96 RT/10 White with blue stripes was really nice. And when the chrome wheels started to peel it looked like he had bronze wheels which looked cool too.- IDM

MGW shifter
On the vette it is accessible without removing anything but the trans is mounted in the rear and there is a torque tube. Dont think the same is for the Viper. I wouldnt do this on a stock shifter, only for short throw shifters that are extremely notchy. If you add too many washers and space...- IDM

MGW shifter
Yes I did it on my C5 Corvette with the MGW shifter and agree with your evaluation. I could have added one more washer to make it even easier. All you would need to know is the size fo the bronse washers to use I think it was 3/16 and add 1 or 2 of them based on preference.- IDM
