Creampuff Transformation - Greg Good Implants

How about posting dyno charts before and after? I like pictures:) Also, what was Greg's turnaround time for this one? I've heard there is a long wait for his services.

How long until you until comfortable with your GTS

SoCal, that's what I meant about the PS2s. I think you misread me. You could 1)audibly tell when they were about to go and 2) when they did go I would have an easier time catching them. I used to drive by sound. If my tires weren't squealin' then I wasn't pushin'! I now run Sport Cups...

How many SRT-10 TA clones will we see now(GTS guys)?

I've already got the GT2 wing on my car, so cloning is out. But if I didn't, I would certainly be tempted to buy the wheels and make my own little carbon fiber spoilers/splitters for it. I like the orange crush, but I still would prefer a Prowler Purple. How about the Go Mango? That's a...

How long until you until comfortable with your GTS

I think you should stick with Michelin ps2s or SSs. The cup tires and other track tires break away more suddenly. You will probably go a little faster with them, but you'll also end up in the dirt a lot more frequently as you won't be experienced enough to "catch it" when you're going all out...

How long until you until comfortable with your GTS

The GTS will haul but once you learn to drive. My old instructor and patient has the track record at TWS in a "stock" viper. I can pull away from most Porsche GT3s (unless a really good driver is behind the wheel) during the PCA events, but this guy still smokes me by about 10 seconds a lap...

Don't recall the brand of my "leaker". It wasn't Howe, though. Most likely Afco or BeCool or someone like that.

    radiator

I went aftermarket aluminum a few years back, and in a year I had a leak. It cost $100 to have it repaired and it never cooled the same as before. Now its starting to leak again. Next time I'm going Mopar.

So i want a little more lumpier idle...

Tony, You are such a smartass, but you are a correct smartass. :) The last time I did this was with gaskets that were already modified by myself when I had the heads off previously. (It is a smart and free mod for anytime you replace your head gaskets) It only takes a few cuts with...

So i want a little more lumpier idle...

Speed, Its not the retainer bolt, its aligning the lifters so the retainer plops down on top of them correctly. You have to twist the lifters until they look aligned, lower the retainer down with your magnet. Doesn't fit? pull it back up and rotate lifters a little more... etc etc. You...

So i want a little more lumpier idle...

7/16 magnetic socket on long swivel extension will remove retainer bolt. A magnet will fish out retainer. There is plenty of room around cylinder head intake port. Then use a long long needle nose pliers to remove each lifter. Aligning the lifters to reinstall the retainer is the...

New member looking to buy a '96 Viper

Not the best daily driver? 70K miles and counting on my gts, 30K on my rt/10. I drive one of them at least twice a week. Of course, I also drive a 750hp Bandit trans-am with t-tops and no AC in the middle of summer:)

So i want a little more lumpier idle...

Pulling the intake and valve covers are pretty easy. Once you get the harmonic balancer off, the TC cover comes off with a bit of work. Expect to spend $200 on gaskets unless you pull the heads, then $500. I'll be putting a hot cam in my '97 soon, so my 708 cam will be avail for $100 on this...

    VIPER magazine wants YOU!

I've got 69K miles on my '97 GTS. It has done (survived) very well over the years. Yeah, I've broken it a few times at the track, but not very nice to it. The viper is a red-headed stepchild, though (it loves to be abused:) Just lost my #3 rod bearing at TWS and engine is now on my garage...

Bigger brakes ...bigger master brake cylinder?

I upgraded to front GTS calipers all around on my car, not the larger srt calipers. I am still using factory '97 MC. I bought a new SRT 2003 MC due to the extra volume, but I never had to install it. The bigger SRT unit will likely make my pedal more hard and possibly harder to modulate...

Gremlins after dead battery, wiring experts or a WIZARD perhaps?

I just had the rear speaker amp on my RT10 go bad. It was draining .25A with the key in the off position.

What do you think of this cam for a 2002 viper

That cam has about 8 degrees more duration than the 708 cam. It will move your torque band up about 500 rpm. You will probably net about 25hp at the wheels. It would be a neat little "sleeper" mod that most people wouldn't be able to detect. Ahh, but you've got a creampuff 2002. You...

    Radiator Fan died Yesterday

The fuse is right next to your brake booster, and the relays are in front of that. Two of the three relays in the box are for the fan. Both need to be good for proper operation. You can test them by plugging them into your starter relay which is the 3rd relay in the box.

Replacing brakes on Gen 2 RT

How much pad is left on your factory BREMBO pads (they should say BREMBO on the backing plate). I'll trade you even steven for my almost new EBC greens. No dust, but car stops like crap compared to the brakeman 3s I race on. PM me if interested.

Aftermarket wheels for my 1994 Viper

Just keep those sawblades until you burn the rubber off. You've just bought this viper, so it won't be too long. When you get the chance, $3500 will get you a set of sidewinders in 18/19. Those will be just as light as your 17s, and lots of tire choices as Vipers since 2003 have had them...

How do you certify date wheels for viperdays?

I just got an email from the pres of BBS America. They have no idea what kind of certification I need. What do they need to do? Do they need to "certify" that my wheels have no cracks on such-and-such date or what? They are as lost as I am. Having to research all this is crazy, as all...

How do you certify date wheels for viperdays?

Harnesses aren't a big deal, a couple hundred bucks for new ones. But buying a new set of wheels every two years seems extreme. Even dismounting tires, sending to manufacturer (overseas?), paying them to xray them/disassemble/inspect/whatever, shipping them back, and remounting tires can get...

How do you certify date wheels for viperdays?

I was reading that all 3 pc wheels had to be certified (dated?) within 2 yrs. I have a set of BBS wheels that this has never been done to. I can't find anything on the internet on this either? How do I get this done and how nec is it really? thanks
