Where are the registration forms for Viper Days? I need to start planning but all I see is stuff from the new NARRA guys. Time Trial Challenge? What is this? I'm looking for Stock, Super Stock, Prepared. What happened to all those classes? This new series just looks more complicated...
You might also try one of these guys. They're cheaper that Haas. Here's an email that they sent me
Greg,
Thank you for contacting Performance Shock for your suspension needs.
We do service Dynamic Suspension shocks. Service price is based on an hourly rate of $95 per hour...
I just went out with the Porsche club last weekend and tried it clockwise for about 10 laps. Man, it a whole new track. I felt like such a nube! I hated waving all those Pooches around me.
I hate to see that kind of damage, but I LOVE to see these cars being beat on. That's what they were meant for. Repair it and rag on it. Don't put it in a museum.
Bruce,
any pics of the daytona front end? I can't find anything on autoform's website on that one.
Their splitter is "OK", but not great. I think the splitter is too wide up front and doesn't match the rest of the car. I understand how the sides generate extra downforce, but I'm not real...
I have called John H. He's all out. I also called JonB and Vipercarparts for possible used ones without any luck. I didn't think these bumpers would be so tough to find...
I am looking at changing the look of my 97 GTS. I like the look of the Henn*** Venom bumper, aerobumper, whatever you want to call it. Jonny's not making them anymore, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a nice alternative. The autoform splitter is interesting, but I haven't found one that...
Stop complaining about the AC! I drive my '97 all over the place with the windows down, and its currently 101 degrees and 75% humidity here in Austin! The viper has never been a car for wusses, so try to make sweat look good:)
The AC in my '95 isn't even currently charged. Do I care? HLL no!
So what happened with ViperDays? I never saw you there?
There wasn't anyone at all in the "stock" class so I ran "superstock" and still kicked everyone's but!
Lucky Dog!!
Time for heads and cam:)
I'm still waiting for mine to go...
I would call Chuck Tator, though. I used him when I blew that TC gasket in my '97 at ViperDays.
See you Saturday.
Thanks for all the input, guys. JonB probably does know me. Shoot, I'm in Austin, Tx and I've got two vipers. That narrows it down a lot. I'm not rich, but this viper stuff is in my blood.
I never thought I'd win the headers off Ebay. I put in a low ball bid (the lowest possible) and 5...
This guy took $880 from me off ebay for some NOS Hnssy headers. He might be on this forum, as his signature has a red/silver coupe on it. He's from Monroe, LA and is into high end car audio (alpine processors) as well as personal watercraft (he's currently selling an engine off a Seadoo). He...
I had no cats/no side muffs on my car and made 440 rwhp. No loss in power here!. I just recently bought a snakeoyl rear assembly (no rear muff). OMG. I don't think I can drive on the street anymore. Sound is very cool, and I'd like to take it to the track like that. Too loud for everyday...
I've heard you can't use the vaccuum bleeders with ABS. Something about getting bubbles through all the ABS circuitry. I know that if you ever ever ever run the MC dry when bleeding that you'll never never never get all the air back out of tjhe ABS without using one of those power bleeders...
Holy crap! Was I suppose to use the rear rotors with Roe's bracket? I'm surprised that everything still worked? I'm not sure how the little .8 in thick rotor would work with the brembo 4 piston calipers, so I just used the front rotors which seemed like a better match:)
The reason I like like...
Oh, you'll need a different bracket to mount the caliper. The SRT brakes and the gen I/II front calipers need different brackets and rotors.
If I was going to do it again, I would have applied that $250 toward that billet ebrake that Dave has.
bone stock? figure about 350-360hp and 440 ft lbs. But most gen Is have smooth tubes or exhaust work these days. There are still a few garage queens with super low miles that are bone stock.
