The 1997 RT/10 was pretty rare with only 117 being made.
Even rarer was the red with gold wheels, not ketchup and mustard, there were only 7 made, I almost got my hands on one but wasn't quick enough
Even though I'm in Cali I made the 3,000 mile round trip to TWS in 2002 for the Viperdays Nationals, I really liked the track. In a stock Gen 2 RT on PS I managed a best of 2:01.04 on the 2.9 mile conf. Good for 3rd place in the Nationals, I'd absolutely love to run a new ACR there.
Get a Carson 16' "California" trailer or an AzTex 16' "Oklahoma" trailer, both are open trailers with "Open Centers". I got the Aztex and so did many other of my friends with Vipers. I pulled my Viper with a '96, '97, '01 & '05 JGC V8 all day. Easy loading, tilt fender so you can open your door...
I don't know how you are planning to drive the car (roadrace/street) but you must be carefull with the brake bias when doing this. It may be a good idea to put a proportion valve on, I've seen many Vipers on the track lock 'em up when mixing and matching calipers.
2/27 says it's a 3.1 mile course, 3/28 says a 1.7 mile course are you running 2 different configurations over the weekend? Also it says 2/26 is a "member's day" are Vipers allowed to test-n-tune?
The Pirelli gets "chunked" to death on the track (road course), PS2s are king.
How much is your car worth? How much is your life worth. In a high performance car like the Viper do not get cheap with tires.
Noise limits only at Laguna Seca which Viper Days never ran. We always had an event at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow but no more westcoast (unless you wanna got to Utah) But as history has proved everyone is afraid to race in Cali. Hell they even hated us when we came east :headbang:
It depends what you want out of the car. There is no hp gain, you lose a bit on the drag strip, but it winds up much faster and is great for road racing. Don't listen to n00bie Phil he has a garage queen :D
Thanks Carl, I can always count on you :D
I am aware of the "Use Tax" in Cali, just wasn't sure how it was enforced. At 9.25% it's a big hit. A Cali board member PMed me that Cail caught him with a tractor and he had to pay the tax +penalties :omg:
Does anyone know if the ACR-X comes with a vin #? If so would you have to pay sales tax on it? I know there was no sales tax on Comp Coupes, just wondering if the same held true for the ACR-X (since it won't be register at DMV), it's a $10,000 difference.
In road racing Slip Angle plays a far greater roll then a few ounces of unsprung weight:

Mr. Jorgensen thank you for your reply, it makes perfect sense.
