I will definitely be up for it, I used to run with Speed Ventures a lot when John Wurth ran it, I'm still good buddies with Aaron Bitterman, we used to bet a lot on who would have a better lap time. Hardly was fair, he had a modified S2000 and me my Gen 2 RT/10 :D
I never ran Laguna Seca...
Dan the only place that I know of in Cali is in Fresno, here is the link to them with the sizes of R100's offered and the prices and order form, looks like $2,042 for the sizes mentioned by SCLSSRT:

I'm hoping to be there...
In those tire sizes I'm pretty sure you can get the new Michelin Super Sports, I've heard nothing but good things about them and I believe they are cheaper the the PS2s.
Oops just saw the above post, what Chris said.
All I can do is give you my experience at the drag strip with my lightly modified 2000 creampuff with 3.55 gears and a light weight fly wheel. Putting down a dynoed 434 RWHP and 474 RWTQ on PS tires I turned a best 12.04 @ 120.4 mph with a 1.84 60' time. I had to throw 4th gear, hit the rev...
Has anybody here used the new Hoosier R100 on the track yet? They cost about $340 more then the Hoosier R6 for a set of 4. I'm wondering about the level of grip and the wear on a set of 4 that is about $2,000 shipped 345/18 and 315/18 are the sizes. Tire rack is not carrying the R100 you have to...
The C1 is the Viper specific Michelin tire, PS2s are a great tire. Whichever on you get make sure you get the 4 digit "born on" date and it's not more then a year old.
Now that is it is sold I just say I put a Mopar Performance ECU in my slightly modified 2000 RT/10 and ended up losing HP on the dyno, but it sold right away, good luck.
Thank you for saying something about the canards, I was looking a the pics and thought my eye sight was going.
Great looking car David, drive the hell out of it.

Look in the driver's side door jam, if it was built before 10/99 chances are you have one. I was burning over a quart a week when I had the issue fixed
When you finally get them off make sure when you put them back on use some "anti-seize" for the future. I put on Stoptech brakes and don't have to remove the caliper to change out the brake pads.
In my 2000 Gen II putting down 434 RWHP with a light weight fly wheel and 3.55 gears I had to throw 4th. One thing I did was lower the rear tire pressure to 20 psi any lower and the tires will "cup". Start is everything the reduced pressure helps grip, my best time was 12.04 @120.4 mph and a...
Where are you coming from, what redtanrt10 all these tracks are great and you don't have to worry about noise. If you're coming from the north I'd add Thunderhill to the list. My favorites of the 3 in order are Cali Speedway (Roval only), Willow Springs and Butonwillow..
That's one thing I wish I had on my 2000 RT/10, I cannot begin to tell you how many tires I flat spotted on the track, gets expensive.
Oh wait you don't track your garage queen Dave :D

1999-Last year for forged motor, no ABS, 998 & 999 recall
2000-cast pistons, no ABS, 998 recall, first 200 built had cylinder wall issues (mine took 9 weeks at Arrow to fix)
2001-cast motor, ABS, water pump impeller issues
2002-cast, ABS last model year
I did a thread on which was faster a while back stock for stock ACR-X or Comp Coupe, ACR-X was the hands down winner, someone who owned one of each said the ACR-X was about 2 seconds faster on every track then the CC :headbang:
Here's the thread if anyone wants to read it...
If what was said earlier in this thread that top speed is 154 in a ZR-1 I've hit 156 in a 2008 ACR without touching the rev limiter in 4th on the front straight of Willow Springs, I think it pulls strong to close to 160 mph in 4th.
